I had a 2024 Model Y RWD and initially had some echoing. Solved it by buying the parcel shelf accessory for the hatch. Made the audio system sound a bit better as well. I think the parcel shelf bounces the sound better and prevents hatch area sound from coming into the cabin.

Im testing the model y rwd and performance for 2 days. The performance has a humming noise and lots of torque. The rwd, I don't really notice it. When accelerating around corners in the rwd it fish tails. Fsd is incredible. It parks itself with no problem.
@100miledriveАй бұрын
Nice. Looks like you are ready to pull the trigger. From my experience as build quality not 100% in Tesla you will see slight issues with some. This last car I rented was nearly perfect

@100miledrive I have to return it today. I'ma wait until December to see if they will have better Tesla deals and incentives

A month and a half ago, I purchased an Ultra Red MY LR AWD with white 7 seats. Love it. Now my wife wants to get a Y LR RWD to replace her 2015 Ford Flex, because the lease for an in-stock is less than $200 per month! While I have a 64-mile round-trip commute in the Front Range of Colorado and need AWD, she may drive 20 miles a day tops. If it’s snowing out, most likely school is delayed/canceled and she doesn’t need to drive in bad weather.

hi nice review- what would you buy model 3 new 2024 or model y 2024 (cant wait for the juniper )? which one more fun to drive
@100miledriveАй бұрын
Hi there, thanks a lot for the feedback. I am a fan of Model 3. I think it’s the best balanced EV on the market in this segment. I am also very curious what changes they make in the Juniper, because in terms of current gen Model Y it is not even close to Model 3 in terms of premium feel and fun factor
@jackgreenstalk777Ай бұрын
Wouldve liked to see some kind of table. Showing current costs, ranges and specs of models you compared
@100miledriveАй бұрын
Thanks for the comment and suggestion. I had a table in my earlier videos measuring driving satisfaction. Might implement this in the future
@rickquinn1025Ай бұрын
So, based on this... Do you go for the Model Y as it is today or wait on the Juniper refresh? In the process of (likely) getting the MYLR AWD.
@100miledriveАй бұрын
Hey there, thanks for the comment. That is the next video I am planning to release. In short if you care about having a more polished version of Model Y with the exception of loosing stalks, then wait for the Juniper, but if getting Fed rebate and special financing is important then you can get the current version. Maybe deals will be availabe with Juniper release as well, but not sure when they decide to cut that

I live in Colorado and I just got a AWD LR Model 3 at 0% interest and am loving the refresh features. Anyone looking to buy a Tesla before the incentives potentially go away, mine is in my KZbin bio!

Why do allbyall say all those gaps are fine. I have a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq EV and I have no gaping. That’s just crazy to me smh 😅
@100miledriveАй бұрын
Yeah, this is the Tesla way. Basically people fall in love with Tesla experience and basic car manufacturing flaws become 2nd nature.
@SubZero-qn3txАй бұрын
I think you are wrong with the 0-60 it's should be 5.9seconds and not 6.5 seconds what you are telling. Standard range is 6.9seconds LR RWD is 5.9 seconds LR AWD is 5.0 seconds Performance is 3.7 seconds
@100miledriveАй бұрын
Not sure where you got this info from. If you go to tesla.com for US and choose order Model Y, you will see that Long Range Model Y RWD is 6.5 sec 0-60. AWD is 4.8 sec. Maybe yours is European numbers?
@M27-f4f13 күн бұрын
No. He’s right. The Model y rwd long range does 0-60 in 6.5sec. I’m not sure why it’s over 1.5sec slower than the dual motor. They both should share the same battery.
@SubZero-qn3tx9 күн бұрын
@@M27-f4f I drive the Model Y RWD long range and it's realt 5.9. even the Telsa website says it.
@bertos4270Ай бұрын
You pay for a premium price, why do you have to deal with panel gaps, other dealerships have better quality
@LeMAD22Ай бұрын
Better quality car overall. Teslas have the lowest maintenance/repairs costs of all manufacturers, while the engine and batteries are extremely reliable, and likely to last 300K miles.
@100miledriveАй бұрын
😀 Since Tesla is still new in the game it is still accepted. If you buy Tesla for the build quality then there are better other options, however if you want Tesla experience with all the tech, then some basic car problems is something you may encounter.

What a waste. Almost entire length of the video, you talked about everything else but main topic. It seemed like you would get to the point in last 2 minutes, but you were wrong there. LR RWD, LR AWD (single motor) and Performance (dual motor) are 3 different trims. Titles says RWD vs AWD, then you compared RWD to Performance 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

Improve the ride quality in Model Y.....HOW ABOUT IMPROVEMENT THE STUPID QUALITY OF THE ROADS YOU ARE FREAKIN' DRIVING ON! They are terrible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@100miledrive20 күн бұрын
Well cannot disagree with that and if I had a political channel I would certainly talk about roads in LA. But what I am trying to say here is that even firmer cars have ways to absorb bumps n more premium way by having a gliding motion and that is what makes a car feel premium. Model Y is certainly lacking such refinement which I am almost certain we will see in new Model Y Juniper
