Can I please ask what is meant by the term “health anxiety” please forgive my ignorance but I haven’t heard of it before. I have CPTSD which has been referred as an anxiety disorder however I have always suffered from anxiety and one of Childhood Complex PTSD is anxiety and because a lot of it comes from subconscious deep memories that we don’t remember can you help people like me? My anxiety is destroying my ability to function in life and it’s so debilitating. Thank you for sharing your experiences and helping so many people to understand and rid of their chronic anxiety 😊

You are spot on - all of the symptoms are coming from a hypersensitive nervous system. Once I accepted and made peace with this, it became easier for me to let go of my health anxiety and let my body rest. Thank you so much for what you do. ❤

Doing nothing more often was my more than anxiety moment from this video! Sitting still with just my thoughts is one of the most difficult things I've ever tried to do. I've lived a very fast-paced life right up until retirement this year. I'm trying to learn to slow down because my nervous system has been overtaxed for the past 20 years!

That look!😂😂😂 SO TRUE! I have a slew of Long Covid/CFS symptoms and my FNP (can’t seem to get a doctor in the boonies of Maine-nothing against FNP’s but this one isn’t helpful) does look at me like that!!!😂 she wants to send me to a dozen different specialists. But I’m with you-all my symptoms are from a hypersensitive nervous system. I’m half way there just knowing and believing in this. Now to get the rest of the way… THANK YOU very much for your invaluable videos!!!!!!!

I have been suffering from deppresion and anxiety since 2017. Since 1 year I have been experiencing a fatigue, I went to a doctor who said lets check if that might be because of lactose, I also stopped eating any spicy food. The pain is still there, every day, in the afternoon, it's horrible, makes me feel so bad and I am incapable of functoning. I have read that is IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME.....ohhh.....I would like to get rid of this pain. Thank you for the video. You are amazing human 🙂

Thank you for talking about being a doer. I think my whole life has been about "doing" and it's exactly as you said - I get stuck in doing more and working harder, expecting to see the benefit sooner but it's never worked out like that. Taking care of ourselves is a noble cause, it took me 27 years to give my anxiety the attention it deserved but glad I did because in the last 3 years I have been able to bag 2 more degrees since I did. Sometimes we fail to see being being productive is as much an issue of time management as it is of mental and emotional management so I just had to make and upload a video about it because realization is half the the job.

My biggest moment of clarity is that I keep taking longer and longer flights but my mindset is still the same every time I have gone to the airport. Scared, fearful of getting sick being far away from home. This is the mindset I need to address and challenge my inner child with. Dennis I have been listening to you for about 2 and half years and you honestly helped me tremendously. I started with a short flight from San Diego to Las Vegas and the longest flight to date has been San Diego to NY. Your surrender sessions helped me accomplish this. But once I got back from NY trip I stopped doing the surrender sessions because I felt so strong and like I could conquer the world. My next trip is tomorrow to your country. San Diego to Vancouver but my anxiety is back to square one very high and I want tu cancel the trip. I’m also supposed to go to Hawaii in 3 weeks for my husbands birthday… idk how but what do you recommend me doing? Thank you! I love you! ❤️

Anyone else constantly and consistently yawn back to back to back? 🤔 Usually almost always feel like my body makes me do it like that feeling around the throat or diaphragm area that triggers the need to yawn. It's like once I get in that loop it never ends and it's become an unexpected hindrance. I think it was tied to tight chest/shallow breathing symptoms and my body constantly yawns I guess out of my habit back then to "prove myself" that I can get those deep yawns in. Idk if anyone else went through this or is going through it, it feels uncommon
@billyhorn3949Ай бұрын
You are not alone brother, I’ve dealt with this on and off for long periods of time. For me it also is tied to that psychological need to “feel” that deep breath, comforting to hear someone have the same experience

Hey Dennis, Any tips on strategies to heal anxiety based on the line of work. For example people that work in law enforcement. How can they overcome anxiety and what exercises can be done? Thanks
@TheAnxietyGuy1Ай бұрын
Any exercises that stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system combined with the ‘clean up work’ in relation to past hurts being held in the body (reframing).

@ramonam41552 ай бұрын
same here.. just observe these stories playing in your mind as a temporary disfunction in your system that is separate from your true identity. Mine got better with familiar safe places, familiar safe people, familiar safe activities, self care and journaling about who i am and who i want to be helped me the most. My symptoms went away but i feel i still need to do the cognitive work. Just to be on the safer side in case my anxiety gets triggered badly in some future event.
