I'm an American. I like our Marines. I really do. They are an amazing branch of our military. And I really like our Marine bands. They do an amazing job as well. I'm a huge fan of the works of Sousa who was in charge of our Marine music once upon a time. But I have to be honest. If I had a choice between flying to Washington D.C. to watch and listen to our Marine band perform an all Sousa program or of flying to the UK and paying an admission fee to watch and hear these musicians perform, well I'm spending the extra money to do so. I am blown away by their musicality and by the sheer pageantry of their performance.

I am from Uruguay. Royal Marines bands play beautifully indeed. Yet I think Queen's Guards play as greatly and produce all kinds of music with ease and grace. Centuries of tradition !

this is tradinonally done on land, as this is originally an army thing, but the royal marines are a "land based sea regiment" hence why the do beating retreat

I am Canadian; Beating the Retreat, July 14, 2022 is AWFUL, amateur videography. Jumps between music items. It's a dis-service to HRH's Royal Marines to their excellent music. Am I the only one saying this?
