Hi! I hope this video gives you some hope and inspiration in your recovery journey. TMD is a multi-factorial condition. The CBD balm I used - use this link to get 15% off at LoveCBD - bit.ly/lovecbdbalm_rachelO 😍🚀

It’s great that you finally found a solution. I’ve been going through therapy for 3 months now and the pain and tightness comes and goes. Right now it’s back and I can’t seem to improve. A MRI confirmed TMJD in my left jaw along with arthritis in the joint. Im frustrated.

Thank you. I'm sorry to hear that you are having a flare. I'm not sure what type of therapy you're doing, but if I was working with you, I'd be looking at what is going on in your life before and during the flare. What I have found is that if pain is not there all the time, there are other factors at play. Pain in my jaw and my body (as I had fibromyalgia) was always worse when I had emotions I wasn't acknowledging or was experiencing higher levels of stress. I wish you the best in your path to recovery ❤️

I'm going through so many teeth problems myself right now. Got so much work done 4 months ago and now I feel I might have a new cavity at the gum line of my front tooth. My teeth have not stopped hurting that they worked on 4 months ago. This stuff has been so stressful to me too.

Hi Stephanie, I understand - it's tough and can be very stressful. Obviously your dentist can confirm - but sometimes when we get a lot of work done it can stress the jaw and the muscles and lead to referred pain, so it feels sensitive in a tooth, but it isn't always the case. I hope you get it sorted out. I have lots of EFT videos on my channel so give that a try to help you with the stress. xxx

i have a very similar story, started with a cracked molar from boxing, ate with one side of my mouth for months, all of a sudden ear pain, sharp needle like pain and follow up with an inner itch that won't go away, went to ENT and nothing was wrong, and finally suspected TMJ, still have problems, but i believe i will recover from this annoying freaking condition.....

Hi Lee, I'm sorry you're dealing with that too. You definitely can recover. If you've been eating on one side of your mouth for months the muscles will be super tight on one side too. Get referred to a maxillofacial surgeon if you haven't. I hope that it gets better soon. All the best.

thanks for making this, I struggle with the same thing and have a similar asymmetry as you. were you able to manage the asymmetry? if so, what was the most helpful for that?

You're welcome. I think with the asymmetry it's been a process. I got symptom free and have been now for 4 years and have recent doing face yoga and building up my jaw muscles again. It has almost fixed it. My face is now nearly symmetrical. I work with a face yoga coach Face Yoga Australia who has worked with bells palsy and it's helped a lot. All the best resolving yours. ❤️

Hello ma'am I would like to know for how many years you had this tmj problem and also did it cause your nose assymetry because of it. And how long it took to correct asymmetry of your face. And now how is your tmj problem.

Hi! I had jaw issues on and off since I was a child because of Ehlers Danlos. So my jaw used to lock and ache. I understand now that's because the discs were slipping. I didn't have the headaches until the time I'm talking about in the video. It took 3 months for the pain to go once I got the treatments I discuss in the video. My jaw joint is still degenerated. I believe the pain started through dental trauma rather than because of the jaw joint issues. My face is still slightly asymmetrical. I've started facial exercises to fix it now. I can't tell you whether it affected the straightness of my nose or not. I was more focused on pain than how I looked to be honest.

@@rachelAO I'm so scared I went to a doctor and he told me there's nothing I can do Do you think it's really possible to get rid of this disease

@Dema1430 Dema I can only talk from my experience. I have jaw joint degeneration and two slipped discs and I don't get pain anymore. Please stay hopeful and get a second opinion. You have many options available - start with the most conservative first. The fact that it's scaring you tells me that you will have stress that will be keeping your muscles tight. You need to get some help with that first. ❤️❤️❤️

@@rachelAO Thank you, the truth is, I feel very nervous because I started to have severe ear problems and started to lose hope, and my family started to get tired of me, and in the area where I am, there are no good doctors, and all they give me is some painkillers. Thank you for giving me some hope

@@DemaDema-ng8fj I understand. It's lonely with this condition - nobody understands how painful it is. If you can try CBD balm that helped me a huge amount, but also it's important to focus on the stress you have around it. I have a great video on my channel which you can follow along to deal with the fear around it - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pl61Z6KaeL2eY8U - it helped me start to get out of the fear. The more relaxed you can be the easier it will be for your jaw muscles to relax. Don't give up. There is definitely hope.
