I have super tight muscles in upper back after a traumatic loss of a loved one in family 8 years ago. Since then whenever there any mental stress at work or personal life my upper back just starts to burn like fire.. Needless to say visits to doctors haven't given any benefit.. Only now I realize after reading books and watching channels like yours it's a mind body connection. Now I understand it was flood of unregulated stress which started it all and now this constant muscle tension doesn't leave my body after years of that particular trauma..My MRI and scans are all clean .Could you please help me with techniques to keep oneself more prepared when the stressful situation strikes again to cause another flareup.. Thanks for your videos.. Just watching your videos helped eased my pain so I'm sure it's something to do with my mind.

Hi Vinay, I'm sorry you've been dealing with that - I understand how hard it can be. I lost a loved one recently in traumatic circumstances and I know first hand how the body becomes affected. It's great that you've seen the connection now - that is half the battle, it really is. I know from my work how impact-ful trauma can be on the body. I would recommend you get some help to process the trauma at a mind and body level - I use EFT in my practice to do this and it's very effective. I have seen people lessen symptoms significantly after processing a big trauma or series of traumas. Your body is currently trying to protect you, which is a nicer way of thinking about the pain it gives you. It is trying to keep you safe. I have some videos on EFT on this channel which people find really helpful in managing stress. But find someone who can help you process that trauma and you may indeed find that the tension is greatly relieved or goes entirely over time - it's not necessarily an overnight process - but it can be. I wish you all the best. ❤❤❤

Hello ! Thanks for this video and testimony !!! ONE QUESTION: DID YOU RECOVER AT 100% FROM YOUR BALANCE ISSUE / VERTIGO / DIZINESS or does it come back even very slightly sometimes ? I'm very happy to see you very positive story, it's very rare in the TMD world. Maybe people getting rid of this don't want to even talk about this difficult condition or maybe it's because most people don't recover enough to go back to a decent normal life... It's very encouraging to have positive stories.

Hi! Thank you. I don't have dizziness anymore - I think that was all coming from the tension in the muscles in my jaw. I had so much asymmetry that I think things were super tight on one side. I couldn't touch my scalp it was too painful. Wishing you well in your recovery ❤❤❤

@@rachelAO thank you so much for your answer it's very encouraging. And thank you for wishing me recovery ! TMD showed itself very violently in my life. I was a plane pilot and it made me lose all 4 years ago. I didn't have that much issues before or it was not obvious. I lost my job, my social life. I'm now with some treatments after a long journey to find the right professionnals. The ignorance and misconceptions are huge in the medical world about TMD. I don't know in other countries but in France it's a hell. I'm way better now but I stil need to find other professionals to fix the root causes and for now I can't have a normal life yet. I hope so much I will be able to recovery. Thanks a lot for sharing your story, and answering to people. It's so much important ! Thanks again. May God bless you and all your projects be successful ! You seem to be a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. Thank you so much.

I have a very similar story with dental trauma. Interesting that I was already set up for it with inherited heavy metal toxicity etc. When I was 16, 9 of my teeth already had amalgam fillings. Now with 36 I have 9 root canals.. and I had chronic pain for 7 years after a botched front teeth surgery and a whole host of chronic symptoms after getting 7 of those amalgam fillings removed at once (recommended by my dentist back then) It's one thing that I had no idea but none of my doctors had any idea about anything at all so I also developed a phobia of the dentist and generally a white coat phobia to be honest. Now I'm on the Medical Medium route and I also got introduced to EFT and it was the one that helped me the most back then. Nowadays I'm revisiting the method because I have gotten quite lazy about my emotional/mental work and I'm starting to somatize (?) again. It's so sad that people were thinking I was imagining my pain for years and nobody took me seriously, now seeing how very much true and serious everything was. I kind of lost my youth to pain and depression and I will never get back those years. I'm happy that I'm getting better on all levels, mental, emotional and physical. And I know I can trust myself and the universe. I know I'm on the right path. Thank you for the work you do! God bless you!

Hi Miyankochan, I'm sorry you went through all of that. I honestly think that the whole amalgam fillings thing is a crime against humanity. It caused a lot of issues for many people when they get them removed. I hear you on dental phobia - it's a big problem out there. There are some fantastic dentists out there, but one bad experience and it's hard to trust again. I'm glad you're getting better - that is wonderful news! You sound like you've made a lot of peace with things - that can only help you! Sending you all the best in your health recovery ❤!

Hi Rachel! I'm so happy you're making a series on TMJ/D now. I still have my clicking jaw because I don't have a doctor. I am in zero pain. The clicking started abruptly after many months of mewing incorrectly and putting stress on my jaw. I didn't realise that at all until one day I was talking with my chin resting on my knee and suddenly there was pain and I couldn't close my jaw for three days. After a few weeks the pain was gone but the clicking remained (it's on one side). That was a year ago. I was under the impression that I would need surgery, but am I hearing you say it's *possible* to recover through physio? I don't want my disc to degenerate. Is yours still degenerating or is it going to be okay now?
@rachelAO
@rachelAO Жыл бұрын
Hey KoalaMama! Basically what I was told was that the minute the clicking stops is when the disc has slipped. I would get a scan if you can to check what's happened with your disc. Mine clicked as a child and then stopped clicking and I was told that was the minute the disc slipped. Once it's slipped then it's open to degenerating. I have one side with no discernible disc and the other side where it's slipped. I've been told I may need a full jaw joint replacement because the jaw joint is really worn on one side - but I'm doing my best to avoid that. I don't know everything that physio can help with - I recommend Krina Panchal on Instagram - she is a specialist and was my physio during my ordeal and she talks a lot about the jaw on there. You can't know what's happening without an MRI unfortunately. If you get the right advice it can save you problems in the future. xxx

Were you on the Medical Medium Protocol for TMJ? I‘m confused because A.W. says TMJ is caused by inflammation of the nerves from shingles.

Hi Lottie, I wasn't doing MM specifically for TMJ - the approach I took with physio and emotional work stopped the TMJ pain and jaw tension (and it has never come back after many years). There are many reasons people get TMJ. Mine had mechanical origin - physical trauma (from bad dentistry), chronic stress and jaw joint (bone) degeneration - a diet wasn't going to fix it. If someone has TMJ I always advise they see a maxillofacial surgeon to find out what the source of the issue is first before deciding how to treat it. ❤

Hi Nan, Thanks for sharing. Glad you have no pain now. I did get rid of lichen sclerosis, but as I'm going through menopause now my skin is getting drier which causes other issues. I've been using oatmeal baths and they help a lot. ❤❤

@@NanGr-cb5wf Hi Nan, It went along with everything else, that's why I haven't done a separate video - it's all been the same thing. Any of my healing videos talk about what I did. For the oatmeal baths, I've been grinding up a cup of oatmeal into a flour (you could just buy it ground - they call it colloidal oatmeal). I put it into a muslin cloth and run water over it into my bath. The bath water turns a milky white. Water should be warm but not hot - hot water is more drying and irritating. Then bathe in it for 10 - 20 minutes tops - no longer - it becomes drying after that. Pat dry. I've found it very soothing for dry skin and I wish I'd had it when I was dealing with the LS. Stay hopeful Nan - you can beat this! 😍❤

@rachelAO
@rachelAO Жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, thank you! that's something to discuss with a maxillofacial surgeon to be honest. My area of practice is stress. If you've got tight jaw muscles as was my problem (the slipped damaged discs weren't really contributing to the pain or my ability to eat hard foods). Of course I can't comment on your situation - it depends where your discs are. But I would ask the surgeon to give you the option to try physiotherapy first before doing surgery - there are specialist physios who can be a god send with jaw issues - Krina Panchal on Instagram is who I went to in London. And of course if stress is part of your issue - which is often the case with jaw issues - I'd recommend getting some help with that side of things. There's always a reason why people clench and grind and it can often be stress that's a big contributor. I hope that helps.

No it didn't. The TMJ came on while I was on MM. My TMJ was from a combination of stress and mechanical damage.
