So inspired by your patterns and tutorials, I just finished this pattern in Lion Brand Coboo in mauve for my nephew and his wife who are expecting a baby girl in October. My grandmother taught me to crochet years ago and I just picked it up again in November. I've finished a few simple pieces, but this one turned out beautifully. Wish you could see a photo. ❤

Hi Jo I just wanted to thank you again for your beautiful patterns I have crocheted a few of your blankets but keep coming back to this one it’s gorgeous and those who have been gifted with them absolutely love them! Just a question…can I do the first row as all DC? I have noticed that when I finish on R4 my width before I start the border my width is a lot wider than my start at the beginning and because R4 is mainly made up of DC stitches I was wondering if a row of DC before starting the pattern may make both the starting row and the finishing row the same width. What do you think?

Hi! Thank you so much for your comment and kind words! I'm thrilled you like this blanket. I really wish I could help but I've only designed, made and tested this blanket following the instructions outlined in the pattern & video so I don't know how it would turn out if you do something differently. Thanks in advance for understanding!

Thank you I just finished crocheting the beautiful baby blanket. However not sure which is the right side😮
@jototheworldcreations11 ай бұрын
Hi there! The blanket is reversible so you can choose which side you like best. :) Technically, the wrong side of the blanket body is facing up when you start and finish the border. Personally, I like having the wrong side of the blanket body facing up and I think it goes nicely with the right side of the border.

Works up nicely, but the holes are large in some of the sections of this blanket. My forefinger and thumb can go through -seems too large for a baby blanket. I only have 15 rows done so I don’t know if it’s gonna tighten up or if I should just start over using a. Smaller hook size. I don’t work loose so I’m not sure what the problem is. Thank you for your video, . It was very helpful.

Thank you for your comment. You can read about my experience with holes in a baby blankets here: jototheworld.com/lacy-baby-blanket-crochet-pattern You are welcome to try a smaller hook to see if you like it better.

If I wanted to start with a row of chainless foundation SC instead of the starting chain, what would the stitch count be? 8 + 1?
@jototheworldcreations Жыл бұрын
I wish I could help but I haven’t designed the pattern using foundation sc only starting chains. Sorry!
@romystumpy1197 Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same,it may be a good idea to do a practice Swatch doing the chainless foundation stitch using your stitch quota and do the same with a regular chain and see what the stitch difference is

So what about corners ?
@jototheworldcreations9 ай бұрын
Hello! I explain how to do the corners in each round of the border in the video and in the written pattern :)

I noticed when you finished the border that the right hand side of the border didn’t look complete at 52:06 am I missing something?
@jototheworldcreations Жыл бұрын
I just didn't complete the round all the way around when making the swatch/sample for the video tutorial - it has nothing do the pattern :)

@@jototheworldcreations ok thank you I wasn’t sure it just looked odd 😂 I think your patterns are gorgeous I’m almost finished the blanket and almost up to the border. I wanted to ask if the stitches picked up on the sides need to be the same number?
@jototheworldcreations Жыл бұрын
@@cloudydaez Thank you so much for your kind words! You'll want to sc evenly on both sides so there are roughly the same on each side but the exact stitch count doesn't matter.

I am puzzled, as I have always counted he ch 1 in the v st as a st…are you saying this is only THIS v st you don’t count or never…?… always thought your stitch is a stitch whether it’s a chain or an actual stitch….???
@jototheworldcreations Жыл бұрын
The V-stitch in this pattern is the same as other patterns (dc, ch 1, dc). The only difference is that you don't count the ch 1 in the V-stitch as a stitch in this pattern. This is to make counting the stitches easier. Each pattern should specify whether or not chains count as stitches. In this pattern, chains do not count as stitches. In the written instructions, I break down by row exactly how many stitches are in each row. For example, in Row 2: the Stitch Count is: 2 + (V-st x 15 = 30) + (5 dc x 14 = 70) + 3 = 105 sts). Hope this helps!
