It's crazy that you pay $1,600 for it seems like a decent laptop actually It's a nice compact size it seems really powerful but paying $1,600 and for you to have to reinstall windows to make sure no AI garbage is on there pretty wild

There is the option of installing Pop os linux on it instead of reinstalling windows. Unfortunately that means loosing access to that neat little dial thing on the touch pad.

I am definitely not the target market for this laptop, but it is a cool laptop. I kinda wish they had a non pro art version without the "pro upcharge" as it would be a pretty neat laptop.

You could try the XPS, although it is the new intel core ultra 2 chips instead (better efficiency, better GPU, better single thread but lower multi core). 1080p, no Dedicated GPU and not touchscreen + looks sexy af

I have an asus vivobook 15 from 2021 (model k513e) and the battery has degraded to the point where I get about an hour and a half of web browsing on battery or about 45 minutes of gaming per charge. Definitely not meant to be used on the battery under normal use, just to keep the programs I’m using open from plug a to plug b. I originally used it for school, but bought a used thinkpad off eBay so that I could have a laptop that lasts the whole day on a charge. The performance is good and the screen looks great (on the asus), but I wouldn’t trust it for more than a lunch break on battery, given that I’ve put it straight in my bag after charging it, and pulling it out of my bag 3 hours later for lunch only to realize that it’s completely dead. Overall 7/10 for the vivobook I have; it would be perfect if they gave it just a little more space for a better battery or made replacement parts accessible and affordable (although I don’t think asus would ever do that).

i want the Rog flow variant of this convertible laptop, but i guess they are waiting for the strix halo release what would be a way way better gaming variant of this conferrable laptop. the only reason they didn't release this with a 120hz+ screan is that they didn't want gamers to cannabalise on this creator convertable laptop. because you can get that pannel in that size with that same collo accuracy with 120-160 hz. because apple has it in their ipad pro 13 pro

I'd take 60hz with longer battery life over 120hz and lower battery life. Not all of us even notice a difference between 60 to 120+ Congrats if you NEED 144hz or you go spend $3k to get it
