For the record, KyoAni is quiet famous for having the most Healthy Working Environment for Animators. They don't really make that much projects compared to other studios which helps the team to focus only one project at a time. And to think despite the incident that happened few years ago, KyoAni still gives us high quality animation and storytelling in their shows is just amazing. It is also worth noting that KyoAni uses animation to tell the story itself and not just a medium for the story, one reason why most of the times they give emphasis on the character's expressions and movements to drive the flow of the story and it's just amazing.

This reminds me of a time when I was at my grandmother's house (I live in Africa) it was a sub urband area with a lot of short houses in a slightly elevated area. There was light ran around 5.30pm with a very orange sunset and my cousins and neices were playing in the back and you could hear little bits of their laughter and voices. I was sitting on a short weathered wooden bench at the long front porch and god was the sunset beautiful with the slightly chilled even breeze and you could see few people walking to where they were going. It brought peace to me and nearly put some tears in my eyes

I always love watching slice of life movies or just plain emotional ones because of the beautiful art they put in it. The detail they sometimes put is absolutely beautiful in their backgrounds, eyes, water, and overall motion of the characters and animals. Music videos with an original anime short story also get that Beauty too (ex. Shelter).

Lmao same I don't cry easily afaik and didn't flinch at animes like 5cm per second, I want to eat your pancreas, naruto, or grave of the fireflies but after I watched Kimi no nawa/your name, I lost my appetite the next day and felt funny weird, as if I'm sick but can't point it out really and I'm pretty sure it was because of the movie. Something kept bugging me about the movie, didn't know what so I watched it a couple more times the next day and I finally to the conclusion that it was not because of the sad parts of the movie but my subconscious realised just how much my social life is lacking when seeing the characters having fun and laughing with people. 💀😀 At that time I used to stay inside my house all year and there was no one to talk to except my parents who I'm not in perfect terms with. It's changed now but I've realised one thing now that idk if all humans are social creatures but I am one for sure.(and no, virtual hugs don't help me much but thanks 🫂)

One thing I noticed in these scenes is that some of the small things like knifes, beakers, tissue boxes etc have their fictional brand names on it. You never see that kind of detail in many games and animes, you usually see only a generic knife or a box of tissue with no name on it.
