God i swear joey is all of us with these dolls. I was lucky enough to get a decent one as a gift and even still.... the toy design of it is pathetic. The barbie soup really is the only fun part, and you could probably recreate it with glitter and food dye anyway!

The best part about these dolls in my opinion is the makeup appears with ice water and disappears with warm water. I think kids might find some play value in that...like a Barbie makeup counter or something.

I love your honesty!!!❤️ When you called her a “witch” and your personality- totally A+. Barbie should give half as much effort into their products as you put into your videos. I have a daughter and about to have another- and I will never buy these colour reveal or new Barbie’s for them. If they ever ask for them I will say, “I won’t buy you this cheap garbage but I will buy you vintage Barbie’s- trust me! They are a million times better!”. Shame on Barbie- their stock was even up this year they really have no excuse to produce such cheap products. They should concentrate on producing fewer better products than mass amounts of crap. Make a few good quality playline and a few good quality collector Barbie’s every year please! If they consistently put out less numbers but better quality it would drive the collectibility up. Plus add a Halloween Barbie and a Holiday Barbie on top of that. They never make collector quality Halloween Barbie’s which has driven the price up on the “wicked witch of the west” Barbie for like $250 US which is out of my price range- I would like to have a good Halloween doll though. Does Mattel never check eBay for the prices their vintage quality products go for these days?

When I saw a Barbie Colour Reveal Doll commmercial/advertisement on TV the first time, I didn’t even realise how cheap this was. I just knew that the designs were awful. But now I know, almost everything of these dolls is awful. I thought these would cost around 10€, but I just googled the price and they cost 20€ and more… for this money, people could get better dolls…

They're already showing up in thrift stores as bag filler so they can make people pay $6 for one good doll and one throw away. Used to be able to get two decent, sometimes vintage, dolls in a bag. Color reveal dolls aren't even good to practice rerooting hair. Ugh.

Obviously I'm still compelled to watch because I enjoy seeing people being bitterly disappointed. I can't believe these dolls are £20, it's pretty shocking. And why is her hair blonde but the pony tail is rainbow? Also colour reveal isn't that exciting if the dolls legs are essentially the same colour as the coating. Barbie seems to be running this idea into the ground now. Oh and your hair looks fab, really suits you.

I forked out £15 for a Colour Reveal Chelsea to do with my daughter. She liked the water bit but that's it. You can't even cover her up as finding clothes to fit Chelsea is very hard. Daughter was more interested in the water than the doll.

My mom got my niece one for her birthday (it was the blue/purple haired one) she really had fun. We all had a oooh and ahh for the coloured reveal and the doll (one of the ones you liked, as did everyone lol) was gorgeous but that was it. Won't lie I kinda want one but not for that price and over here it was kinda expensive but my mom got them on sale at her work (plus discount lol).

I can relate to having terrible blind box luck. If a toy is a surprise toy, I automatically skip on getting them at this point. One line I did this with was Hairdorables and I only got 3 of the Hairmazing dolls, because while the smaller ones are cute, the Hairmazings are better, and I wasn't willing to spend $15 on a doll that I didn't know what it was. I never bought any LOL surprise either until the OMGs came out (I'm so excited for Moonlight BB, honestly!). Surprise toys are also consistently lower quality than non-surprise toys as well, so I avoid them like the plague. I hate being surprised, and unless I have an idea of what I'm getting, I won't buy it. I cannot understand why people find the reveal so exciting. Maybe it's my Asperger's that makes me hate surprises, but I just don't get it. I want to pay for the doll, not their gimmicky surprise/reveal packaging. I have never bought a color reveal and was always hesitant at their price point. I refuse to spend $15 on a color reveal, when I could get a redhead Barbie with more articulation (the prosthetic leg fashionista and the wheelchair Barbies are tempting as well). Even better: vintage Barbies being sold for a really good deal. Point is, the money spent oh a color reveal could be better spent elsewhere.

I think these dolls could be so much better! Instead of the whole dunking in the "doll soup" bit, why not just offer a fashionista doll with the makeup reveal using the cold water sponge? Then you can pick the doll that you like best, and you can choose when the doll is glam with makeup or not...

Actually you should put in cold ice water to reveal the makeup and also to color the stars on the suit. And I think it should have come with a sponge. But I don’t like that they come without makeup anyway, I think it would be better if they come with it and then putting in the ice water changed the color or added some detail
