I know first hand how much work beavers accomplish in very little time, crazy. They definitely need to be controlled. Thanks for sharing.

What an awesome time for those boys, learning and exploring! What a beautiful place with the tangled woods and creek. I loved this video. How good does beaver taste in comparison to venison or elk? Oh, what was that animal when you were still driving, in the begining?

It was such a fun few days with the boys at the camp. Beaver is most similar to beef, but with a bit more of a liver taste to it. I’ve only had it a few times when we’ve cooked it over a fire after catching one. I’ve never had it prepared by the elders, so I’m sure their version is much different. They smoke it before they prepare it for a meal. That was a porcupine which are plentiful in the region. This is also a common food staple for the First Nations. I’ve never tried it yet. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment!

Children being near water while handling axes, knives and guns. Either this is the 70's again or your school has a great insurance company! I bet there wasn't a dry foot in the gang. I think it's great and a good way to teach. Thanks for the video.

That’s the problem….everyone is worried about kids getting hurt so kids never learn risk assessment because they aren’t allowed to do anything. We definitely push the envelope, but in a safe learning environment
