Rocksteady did have his helmet in the first few episodes, he lost it in one after getting hit in the head during a fight with the turtles. I always wondered why the animators left it off him afterwords.

I know this is an old post, so sorry. But in case you're still wondering, animators and comic artists often get rid of unnecessary accessories like that because they are a pain to draw over and over again. They may not have realized how often they'd have to draw Rocksteady, so they gave him a helmet. When he became popular and would appear in so many episodes, they decided to ditch it. Another good example of this is in Naruto. He originally had goggles, but when the artist realized how hard it would be to draw goggles on the main character over and over again, he got rid of them in favor of a headband.

The picture of the Shredder on the communicator actually looks like a photo of the Shredder figure from the same line, which if it is, is a really cool touch!

Found mine in Ft. Worth this week. Went in for TP, came out with these. Definitely put a smile on my face during these crazy times. Bad when all the TP is gone but Bebop and Rocksteady are on the shelf.

The first appearance of Rocksteady(in rhino form) in the cartoon had him in the helmet(as well as camo deco on his pants), but it wasn't there for long. I think the helmet would have been a cool accessory for Neca to include, but I understand the decision to cut it.

I went into Target on wednesday. They had just put them out on the shelves. I was just getting Bebop and Rocksteady, wound up walking out with all 4. Love the repaints. Just an amazing set.

Rocksteady actually did have the helmet (and camo pants) sometimes in the cartoon. I don't know if it was random or certain seasons, or what though.

In the first episode with bebop and rocksteady in their mutated form (episode 2, enter the shredder), rocksteady showed up with the camo pants and he had the helmet when they fought the turtles at the zoo

When I get TMNT Neca figures, Marvel Legends figures or WWE Elite figures that have tight joints, I put the figures in a container filled with warm water, and that usually does the trick to get them loose.

Check your Targets! Official release was yesterday. Stores started stocking and myself grabbed the only set that matters at my local store. At least 2x per set at a store. Good luck hunting!

Cool review👍🏻I Love this set! Got mine yesterday. I do wish Rocksteady included a removable helmet...he actually did wear it in the show. He had it on when they fought at the zoo, one of the first episodes. It’s my only gripe, perfect otherwise👍🏻

A totally radical review on these Bebop and Rocksteady figures. I can't wait for the others come out. I like the sculpting on both figures. The details are nice. I seen the classic collection Bebop and Rocksteady figures done by Playmates a few years ago and the wrinkles on Rocksteady's face are not doing the figure any justice. When it comes to the NECA version, the sculpting and paint applications are spot on. I did wish they would correct the coloring on Bebop's eyes that way you could display him with the option of having his eyes wide open like if one of the turtles hit or kick him in the midsection, causing his eyeballs to look as if they're about to pop out.

Taka I have gone to about 10 stores and couldn’t find them. Poachers have taken them all and selling them on eBay for double the prize. I did find the turtles thou.

Rocksteady actually did wear a helmet but it was only in the first season when he was apart of the other punks in his gang after their mutations.

found the turtles in this line today and the foot soliders no bebop and rocksteady. Probably for the best I would of ended up paying way way more as I got all the turtles. Kind of hope they come out with a kit that has Krang and Shredder together.

Ive been hunting for this all weekend and nothing (7 Target stores). My kid literally told me to give up. Finally, i found The Turtles(6 on shelves) and the Foot Soldiers(6 on shelves), but no Bebop and Rocksteady. Im hopeful they didn't put them up yet. I dont want to think a scalper bought all 6. Ill be stopping by again today. God willing i should have them in my hands by tonight.

7? I went to 14 and only keep finding Turtles and Foot Clan. Scumbags buying all the Rocksteady and Bebop figures to resell them. I honestly think many Target employees keep buying them because there's no way they would all disappear so quick in each store.

Keep looking, I went to 3 Targets yesterday and all they had was the Turtles and Foot Soldiers. Went back today thinking maybe more stock came in due to Black Friday and BAM there they sat. My wife grabbed these for me and I was so excited, until I opened them. They wont stand up at all, leaning backwards.I stumbled upon the first wave maybe 6 months back and figured I would get these and a Foot 2 pack. I had not open the wave one and busted these guys loose and im super disappointed, also these are my first NECA figs. They look great, thats about it though.

Hi Pixel Dan! You mentioned in your video that the art work is not authentic but they are exactly the same as the original cartoon from the 1980s. The whole style of the packaging etc is reminiscent of that series.

It's a roll of photography paper. I have the roll hung up on my wall and I pull the paper down and drape it across a table. I have a few different colors rolls I can swap between if I want different backdrops for any reason. :-)

The toys back in the day looked nothing like their cartoon counterparts. I would look at the toys, then back at the cartoon etc. Now they're re-releasing the toy line with more accuracy to the animated series. I like it!

It continues to be totally absurd to me that these cost over $50 for each pack, while the movie figures, which actually accurately replicate what the live action turtles looked like in the movie, were only $22.99 at the most at Gamestop, and I actually got one of those ON SALE at a Gamestop store for even less! These seem like regular action figures by comparison, with nothing special about them that would make them anything more than MAYBE $20 figures sold individually, or $30-$35 if you were to buy a package like these containing two of them, not to mention the original ones with one turtle and either a foot soldier or Krang in the walker thing, which should have been $30 at the most. BTW, I just got the Gamestop exclusive Playmates reissue of the four 1988 figures for $29.99! ...and I just noticed that THEY DIDN'T EVEN USE THE ORIGINAL LOGO!! Is this really some kind of Freemason signal to everybody looking out for such things, in accordance with their EU tower of Babel poster with its "block people" (aside from the baby on the poster, which is still rounded and in its natural state, not having been "refined" and "perfected" [read corrupted and led totally astray into deviancy including the diametrically backward, psychopathic portrayal of the unnatural - of the artificial, perverse efforts by which the natural is altered in accordance with the conscious will of self-deifying garbage subhumans - as good and right and the natural state as inferior] by their system), that not only have cartoon characters themselves become squared off by comparison to the original versions, but so have their logos?!

Rocksteady was never that skinny in the lower part so they kinda messed that one up. Also Rock is lower than Bebop and again they're lower than Shredder in the cartoon. Another mistake there. Would've preferred the helmet and the cameo pants from S1 on Rock though.

As an owner of NECA figures always heat up the joints, i have alot of the horror ultimate lines i never had a problem but i sill heat them up sometimes, and neca has these round stands might want to look in to it if rockstedy dont stand

I’ll probably just break down and pay scalper prices for them. My closest Target is 45 minutes away and their Neca section hasn’t been restocked in months and is loosing ground to Funko. They also never got wave 1.
