MY POV: Jisoo is on another level in terms od impact in the fashion world, she has that "spark" that makes everyone love her, her way of being is humble and nice. It is super beautiful. That's why Dior doesn't let her go, to the point that they fight it with Cartier for her. We are talking about the some of the most importants brands in the world. The budget that those 2 brands manage could be the 10 that other idols manage. DIOR is one of the top 5 brands of the LVMH group, and they have 75 luxury brands, just imagine the level Jisoo has; and finally, making a bag of the same design that was made especially for PRINCESS DIANA. Unimaginable for any other ambassador.

Yeah, that was clearly tied to Dior knowing the positive impact she has had on their sales. Plus let's be honest, while such a purse is outrageously priced at retail, it really doesn't cost the company that much to have a purse made by one of their craftsmen. However, it is the prestige of having a copy made of an item specifically for you, that is the real reward. Jisoo could put that purse in an acrylic case in her home next to a photo of Lady Di carrying the original and have this incredible conversation piece that can only be seen if you are a close friend of Jisoo or are a top level Dior ambassador and can see the original in Paris.

Really good marketing, all the companies probably make back 100-1000x if not more on what they put into marketing through kpop idols. Even if they gift everything what the idols wear to the idols (which might not happen but we don't know unless we see the contracts), they still make so much money on impressionable kpop fans who want everything their idol wears. Really really good marketing strategy. Plus free press for the brand each time their under contract idol is caught wearing any of their pieces.
