Happy Sunday! So excited to share this journey, it’s been so fulfilling to be out in the woods working on this project! Let us know what you’d like to see us build!

Outdoor kitchen, I get inspired by California setups but how to “winter proof” something like it. Sauna. Bridge across any type of creek is a fun day project - hand rail on one side. Fire pit with partnership / cozy / hygge in mind.

Curious on timber harvesting, water buffer, low-maintenance “gardening/trees” for future projects. What can be done year (1-3) that is useful for later years (3-5)

So glad I found your channel guys! I started with the Rivian camp one and I'm super stoked about this new adventure. I am cracking up at how often you've had to mention the property/site is strictly for friends and family and not something you'll be renting out. I can't imagine how many people you have bugging you about this. So anyway, I'm Mike your new best friend and I don't hunt on peoples property. haha Looking forward to the later episodes.

Nice skills Chris! The heavy machinery upgrade from garden work seems fun and challenging. Following along inspired for some raw land in Maine. Very much in the “Oh sh*t now what…” so this is super helpful.

Hey Becki, I made a comment on the other video that tailgates bags existed, but I didn't recall the brand at the time, this week I saw one it's a Drifta Canvas Tailgate Bag 😁 Additionally I would recommend an Awning with side panels, like a Bushwakka or a 23zero... you can added to the side of the rooftop tent.

Dents add character you're driving a truck that is designed to go off road if you don't have some minor dings on it nobody will ever believe you drove it Off Road. Wait until you break something major then get them to fix it otherwise you're spending more time fixing the thing than driving it. One of the first things I did when I had a cargo van was I backed into a post that was directly behind the split line between the windows at the back of the van. This was in the days well before backup cameras. Dented the middle of my chrome bumper in. My solution was to wrap that post with a chain, hook to the back bumper and pull forward 6 inches pulling it straight and I never touched it or looked at it again. I just got really good at looking at parking spaces before backing into them. No camera needed.

We’ve done a lot of excavation on the land we bought in Maine to prepare it to build our house and people are always surprised to hear you don’t need any kind or special training or license to operate an excavator.

You can usually scoop on either side of a small tree to weaken the roots and knock it down with the excavator. Stumps can cause damage too. I won’t tell how I know that!
