Hey Corey, is this safe to use on a ceramic coated car? I know sealants will take some damage. Currently have CarPro Private Reserve topped with Reload 2.0. Thank you!

Hi Allan, thanks for the quesiton! Congrats on the Finest Reserve also! There is almost never a reason to use Eraser on a coated car but once it is full cured for weeks or months then you can use Eraser as long as the surface is in the shade and cool to the touch. Still I would not do so unless necessary since we always want to use least agressive methods first. What was the purpose for using it for you? Best, Corey

Hey Corey! Thank you so much! Compliments of Glistening Perfection in Costa Mesa! The purpose would be for remove Reload 2.0 to reapply an even coat maybe every 3 months. Or Use for a once over to ensure oils and traffic film have been removed completely (maybe once a month). Currently using Reset for weekly washes and Iron X once a month. My commute is about 100 miles a day during the week. Thanks Corey!

Hi Allan! Ohhh yes - Love GP and Moe!! Well... I personally would probably skip it if the only other things being used on it are Reset and IronX as the Reload will bond to itself and the Reset will clean it well. However, if you are finding the Eraser is removing some sort of grime that the IronX and Reset are not, then you could do it on occasion as long as you use really good towels like the Crazy Pile towel. @@_Allan_C_

There's really no shelf life on this product... It could last 10 years... I would try to use it in 5 or even 2 if possible but it is going to last quite some time.

Yes, the date on the sticker shows Day / Month / Year and that is when it was produced. With this particular product it should remain effective for 5 years if stored inside

Yes... for coating but it depends for sealant. If it is a CARPRO nano sealant then yes but a polymer sealant will take some damage from Eraser. Be sure to wash the vehicle first though.... We would recommend CARPRO LIFT or Reset depending on your coating/ sealant and your condition and goal

I have a local detailer that does not support IPA at all and uses solvents. So that might leave residue on the paint, even if it may cleans better?

Hi John, well, Alcohol and Eraser are solvents also. There are some solvents like kerosene and heavy solvents and then there are lighter solvents like IPA and Eraser. All solvents will penetrate down into the paint. After you wipe the liquid off the surface, there is still some "solvent" that has been absorbed into the molecular structure of the paint. Of course, this can be disheartening for the integrity of the paint and even more the integrity of whatever protective element )wax/sealant/coating) that you are about to apply! Light solvents like Eraser and IPA will evaporate fairly quickly... usually about 20 minutes while a heavy solvent can take up to days to evaporate which of course is not optimal with the protective element which is to be applied after said panel wipe. So to remove a sealant, you could either wait until it wears off, or do a light polish. And on the glass after compounding, YES. Eraser, or an IPA wipe-down helps ensures there are no excess polish or oils on the surface of the glass that could prevent the sealant or coating from bonding permanently.

Side note - our favorite compound for general prepping glass for a sealant is CARPRO Reflect or Fixer

Lift is for stripping waxes or dirt on a dirty wet car. Eraser is for stripping polishing oils on a clean dry car.

Easily. 50ml should get you 2 coats on a larger SUV or truck. While 30ml will get you 2 coats on your smaller 4 door vehicles.

Does the car pro eraser smell like orange juice? I'm asking that because I have purchased one bottle online and it came open, and smell like orange, exactly the same as Gyeon clay lube. I'm thinking if they put Gyeon clay lube inside because it was the last bottle for sale before I bought it.

No, it does not smell anything like oranges. I would contact the place you purchased it from for a refund. If it was from Amazon then be aware that many people sell things on Amazon and claim them to be whatever they like but if you want trusted product be sure to purchase from a trusted store you know well rather than on a marketplace like Amazon.

Hey Brandon! So Eraser is usually the final step before applying a coating or sealant. So no you don't have to rinse it off. The product has very similar properties to isopropyl alcohol so once you apply it and wipe it off , the surface will dry completely and ensure a polish/oil free surface for your favorite product to bond!

@@Brandon-no3vc Hi Brandon! Some heavy solvents can take up to days to evaporate but Eraser takes about 20 minutes. Alcohol is not a heavy solvent and it evaporates relatively fast as well. We do not recommend using alcohol straight on the paint however. If using alcohol it is best to dilute it 50/50 with water unless there is a very well thought out reasoning behind using it at the 70 ~ 95% concentrate you might have in the bottle off the shelf.

@@Brandon-no3vc Dilute both... The reason why you dilute is because you do not want to use something more aggressive then is necessary. If you are using VERY oily polishes then you can make case for using VERY aggressive solvent. If you are using polishes that do not contain heavy fillers, then you do not need to use aggressive solvents. If you were bird hunting, you would not use a 45 caliber gun. This is the same thing... As with all things in life, least aggressive method first is the way to go.
