Recently my husband and I were talking about nice/sweet people. And I was trying to see if my husband thought I was such. He tells me”you are not sweet. You are kind.” And at first I was at first slightly hurt and asked him to explain. He said “sweet can be nice, but you can’t tell their motive or if they will fight if needed. You are kind because you truly want to help others, but you will fight no hesitation if you needed to protect people you love.”(yes I have fought for my husband. He too is also kind and I have seen people take advantage.) And it clicked why I’ve had a few moments in my life where I fought people no hesitation and they were always shocked and always said “I thought you were sweet”. They learned they cannot manipulate me and hurt my family. I am either passive, or aggressive when needed. I do not understand mixing the two. I think we lump words together at times and not realize the differences in practice. Sweet is usually the compliment we look for. Yet now I want to be called kind or genuine. Anyone can be sweet. Also I agree a lot with what they are saying. Both genders I think can lean on one way of being but need to have balance with both.

You bring up humility in the most dangerous of men. It brings to mind one of my most influential mentors of my life. Maj. Mike Brown (Ret.) was ANGLICO during the Vietnam War. He did three tours and has many stories to accompany it. He once told me of a time he tracked a NVA through the jungle. He is who I believe is a warrior, but he is humble. What I found more humbling to me was he had more praise said to my grandfather; Captain Steven L. Bennett. He would often say that grandaddy was a true warrior. I wish I knew the man he knew, because if the person I see as a warrior poet thinks grandaddy is the best of them, then I would love to know his story. These men sculpted me to the man (as I hope I live up to the term) I am now, and who I am growing to be. I never served, but I still stand to protect those around me. I firmly believe that is everyone’s calling. Be humble, be aware and be willing to commit violence to protect innocents. God bless you and your team and everyone involved in this. I will be buying this book, if only to support the message displayed. Thank you.

Socialisation is the biggest red herring. "Children learn what they live with!" Far more important to learning social skills is the relationship with the parents. My oldest two were Home Schooled here in the UK but they also participated in clubs and other social situations. There they had the opportunity to use the social skills we taught them. Both have degrees and decent level jobs and are married.

The basis for the statement of fear being the opposite of love is from 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love." and in context, I think this has more to do with our eternal security, not necessarily the butterflies we feel inherently when something makes us afraid.

Crowder and company, gotta say I think you have absolutely NAILED the 2A guys you're surrounding yourself with. Mr GandG is as good as it gets for solid 2a news and some instruction. John, in my opinion might be the pinnacle of of who a lot of men should look to for that balance we should seek as men. Be dangerous, be aware, be loving, be a thinker, be a servant.
