Wherever you're at in your journey, the only metric of success you should measure yourself off of is if you quit or not. Push through the hard times because hard times make us who we are.

My passion is helping others that were in my same position when I started, become a tattoo artist. I get how it is and how toxic this tattoo industry can be.

We made it!!! I recently decided to teach myself how to tattoo. Since my ex refused to teach me. I also feel as if I want to have my own shop and don’t want to rent out a booth. Like you I want to create a great team and environment and that can’t be don’t working for another shop. Im only 30 days in and I’d say I’m not doing too bad. I’m grateful I came across your video. Because I’ve doubted myself and I know my ex and others don’t believe I could be a tattoo artist with my own shop. Your video just solidifies every reason why I can make it happen. Man, it’s crazy after listening to your story how proud of you I am and I don’t even know you I was a struggling tattoo artist for the first three years of my career and then out of nowhere I double down left my job focused on tattooing and I’ve been tattooing ever since that was 20 years ago Now I just watched this video with my 12-year-old daughter who is starting to follow my footsteps and she was so happy to see that nothing comes easy and that you have to work hard for it and maintain composure and keep your mind settled like I said man I’m proud of you Good work brother.

We made it^^ im in college for psychology but my heart lies on being an artist ive been drawing ever since i could hold a pencil and have made some pretty big accomplishments such as my art being on album covers and clothes. We made it and this really hit my soul man and inspired me bc I also am in the stage of doing it as a “fun” hobby but I don’t like to suck at things so it’s been a frustrating process… so I been working on tattooing and have gone from never even having a tattoo done on my body to buying a machine and working on fake skins until I realized real skin is so different. I too have done some subpar work and have felt discouraged along the way and really still do. I’m prob 6 months in and have made little improvements and have basically jusy become convinced it’s not for me but I love sketching, painting and playing guitar since I was in my teens. I also have back up plans and haven’t worked toward a dream since high school basketball. Basically I just wanna say thanks for sharing your story it stoked my coal back into a fire and it’s just encouraging to see how you’ve succeeded and hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
