There was this really privlaged girl in my class until grade 6 or so, and she would constantly steal my drawing books, with drawings in them, and I would still be invited over to her house and whenever I'd ask for them back she'd be pissed off and tell me those were her books, and I must have had similar ones. And I'd be like "but the drawings in those books are mine. The stickers on the books are mine. I even have the rest of the sticker page and I signed some of the drawings." And she would still deny it. Like she came from our town's equivalent of old money, so she just owned the world in her mind I guess.
@callizto1964

Did you ever get your books back
@BlazeNStar
@BlazeNStar Жыл бұрын
@@callizto1964 nope. She kept them until her family moved away. She's a big part in the reason why I don't trust people sharing my stuff at all. Like I brought my drawing book over 1 time in grade 2 and then every time she saw them in class she needed to take them like her family is rich, I'm sure she could afford a book from Walmart. Her drawing skills on the other hand were atrocious. So idk maybe art theft was the reason. Like one book just had some Tamagotchi drawings in it, like that isn't even some good drawings. I ended up having to just draw on my class workbooks, which I was given detention for in grade 3, like my parents had to make a deal with the teacher because she didn't like me drawing on the side of my own exercise book pages after I finished my work. Like was I just supposed to stare at a wall or gossip afterwards???

I love the unilateral "ASAP has a soft face? yeah he's pretty, he's a good looking man, that's a good thing" agreement LMAO He is a pretty man for sure. Also he's always been stylish and a bit quieter than other rappers, from what I've seen. I'm not surprised he's confident enough to be Rihanna's husband and I'm not surprised she likes him enough to have two kids with him lol I AM surprised that they decided to label a baby's happy face as a signifier of a female-led relationship? Would ASAP look more masculine on the cover if his baby was visibly upset by him? Lmao

I actually learned this in astronomy this year. Because of slight wobble of the earth, the dates of solstices and equinoxes will slowly drift around the calender. The original Roman Civil calender (Januarius, Februarius, Marchis, Aprilis, Maius, Junius, Quintilis, Sextilis, Septembris, Octobris, Novembris, Decembris with additional month fo the holiday of Satunalia) had to be changed multiple times because of the drift of seasons. Julius Ceaser, with the help of Cleopatra's astronomer Sosigenes. They didn't add a month, but changed the name of a month they already had "Quintilis" to Julius. Named for his contributions to the calender. Later Augustus Ceaser helped to improve the calender once again. The previous month of "Sextilis" was named for Augustus. Funny story. Later on when the Gregorian Calender was introduced, everyonce in a while they would have to remove days from the year in order to fix it. People actually thought they were losing these days and they would actually protest about "losing" these days.

I think a big part of a podcast is getting to know the person a little better. It's not scripted and a lot more personal. Usually I listen pretty closely the first time, but for the second time it's great for sleeping. Don't have to keep your attention up, but still a nice thing to listen to. A conversation between friends. Also depends on the podcast, some are very informative, some are more casual.

Hey Jordan - I work for USCIS (not in anything related to visas atm, but I was previously a private immigration attorney) and I 100% agree with you on the forms. Everything is unnecessarily complicated, because all the policy is made in piecemeal, and every administration chips away at old policy and shoves in new policy, and half the time the government employees don't even know what the heck is going on because it changes like every week. I'm sorry your visa situation was so shitty, it really shouldn't have to be that way. Hope things are working out better for you now!

Oh man when my brother was about 8-9 he and his buddies were so into Yu-Gi-Oh cards!!! He got a Blue Eyes pack from our parents at one point and it was a big deal because I think it only came in those $40 big packs…. shortly afterwards he couldn’t find it anywhere and the next day his friend (who had been over playing cards when it was lost) “somehow” had one, and wouldn’t say how he got it. My brother asked for it back and he denied taking it. I think my parents went over there and talked to his parents and then he gave it back… That Blue Eyes was causing DRAMA in elementary schools lmao

yknow for the triumphant return of the sad boyz pod i was a dumb and kept starting it and then getting distracted, so when today i finally was like “yknow i’m gonna just start this while walking my dog before work” I queued it up before i went to bed (around 1pm, i work at 9pm) and went to bed. my sister got me up a little after 8 bc i hadn’t turned my alarm off yet and they were loud (duh) and i got up feeling surprisingly rested and everything, finished the last of the water on my nightstand and went to take my dog out. i walked out the door and saw a neighbor with their dog out by the back door, so i turned to go to the other bc even though my dog is v small, he’s super reactive and anxious. it is as i am almost at the other door that i realize i had neglected to grab my keys, which would normally not be a big deal but for my complex you need an rfid keyfob to unlock the door to the building at all and then you can get to your actual apartment door. i figure i’ll just call my sister when im out of the way of my neighbors dogs (who may i just add here add very big dogs. they’re mixed but they’re like not even on the smaller end of larger breeds. like im 5’11” and they come up to my waist if not a lil higher). i walk out the door while listening to the pod i started while still inside, so i’m a good 6ish minutes in at this point. i’m listening to y’all talk about the concept of master and crazy hand when i hear RUNNING at me from behind and barely manage to scoop up my dog who is just squirming trying to get out of my arms bc… duh. while these two giant dogs are jumping at me, a woman by herself now in the dark outside her apartment complex at night. the owner is running behind them yelling “i’m sorry” over and over for what feels like an eternity while chasing had dogs around me while im trying to maintain the loose hold i have on my own midair. these big dogs keep scratching and pawing at me trying to jump to my dog who i’m barely keeping out of their reach and when she finally gets control of her dogs i manage to walk away (i feared if i moved too soon she’d have taken even longer to get her dogs) and j just start sobbing, kurtis still talking about master hand. also fucking sucked bc i still had to call my sister to give me keys anyways this all goes to say, damn. accurate pod title lol.
