Amy, I love videos like this where you do homemaking tasks and narrate with soft music. It’s inspirational, relaxing, and comforting. And yes, you’re exactly right…the mundane matters to our family. They feel loved, safe, and happy to be home. I can tell you as a wife and mother for 37 years, even my adult children still feel the same whenever they come over. I love your validation regarding quiet and that it’s biblically based! I’m home with Covid and on my last day of isolation. Decided to simply tackle downsizing my collection of pants. One small section of my closet. Love listening to your soft gentle voice and inspiring fresh spaces of your home. I too, crave simpler spaces that are easy to keep clean. I’m an empty nester now and this house is too big! Long for different spaces in our retirement home that are simpler and more intentional. This house “just happened” over 25 years raising 2 boys, burying our parents, and working in healthcare throughout the pandemic and beyond. You are such an inspiration. I've watched you since your big house in GA and Amy I just love the direction you've taken in your approach to decor. I've said this before...your rooms just breathe now, they are light, airy, and yet are so cozy and comfortable looking. I am sure I speak for many who are tired of seeing Hobby Lobby or Target hauls. You've turned your home into such personalized spaces by thrifting and antiquing, and they have more character and personality now. Nothing wrong with store bought but I think it can really go overboard. I've pared down my own decorating dramatically over the years and cleaning is just SO much easier and takes no time at all since I'm not moving small items on table tops and such. I so enjoy your videos. The environment is relaxed and easy. Seeing your boys room reminded me of when our 2 boys were little we bought them a bunk bed with a trundle. Same amount of space floor space but they each have a bed that they can access at any time and relax, and read or play quietly with their car collections and have sleep over guests in the trundle and blow up camping mattresses if more than one slept over. It was a joyful time in our lives. I would like to compliment the music and volume as well. Just right.

I came from Kristen channel before. And now I’m a new subscriber. You video was so mellow and calming. I watch mine at night before going t bed. I love your house. And I lived in Ohio for 59 years. Then we moved to Georgia. We needed to get away from the cold. It has been cold here too. My husband was wanting to move to Florida. But it was cold there too. It sure isn’t cold here now. But I love it here. We own some land on the side of a mountain. Maybe someday we’ll move to some flat land. So we can enjoy all the land. Ou house is 150 feet from the street. And we stay pretty much just down here. People start hunting soon. They aren’t supposed to be doing iit on our land. But we’re not up there to see what’s going on. He just said he needs to walk up there and look around. I’m going with him for the exercise. It’s a trek. But I have some hiking sticks my youngest daughter bought me for some holiday. I haven’t been up to the top of the hill in a year or so. So I’m willing to go and look around. Then my husband will sprinkle something so the deer don’t come on our land.

I say this all the time, but this is one of my favorite videos that you put together. I'm not ready for the "fall" season yet either. I love that scripture and I'm in a season of rest. It's been so hot here in the Ozark Mountains and just finding time in the early morning to do some gardening and spot cleaning before an afternoon nap, which I often do now is so enjoyable. In the evenings, my husband and I spend time watering the garden, feeding our chickens, and watching the sunsets has become a must have in the late summer nights. This fall we are reorganizing our home and having a yard sale. But for now, I am taking your advice and enjoying the season that I'm in. ❤

I find that for me, I tidy things up as I go along. This is a valuable lesson that my sweet Mom taught all of her girls ( I'm 1 of 5 girls). We were always made to put things away, all in their proper places, as soon as we were thru with using them ( books, toys, games, etc.). We also had a designated play area in the home. I abide by all of those valuable teachings. I have much time and desire to truly enjoy my home. I loved that you said that you wanted your kids' bedrooms to be peaceful and relaxing spaces😊
