Agreed. The "triangle" itself is (like it's better known namesakes) almost certainly a myth created by pattern seeking human beings. IF such an area existed it make more sense it would be a CIRCLE surely? This however; does NOT mean that there aren't a LOT of mysterious events and disappearances in them. Some may be connected, and I certainly wouldn't exclude entirely the possibility of supernatural, paranormal or extraterrestrial involvement. I just don't believe making shapes out of convenient dots on a map tells us anything important about them!

This reminds me of "Metsänpeitto" (roughly translates to "Cover of the Forest") phenomenon of Finnish folklore, where people walking in familiar forests and farmlands could suddenly find themselves in eerie alternate version of familiar environment, where they are left wandering in disorienting, unnatural woods, unable to find their way back. In some variations of the myth the unlucky people or animals stuck in Cover of the Forest seemingly transform into nature themselves, one story telling of farmer who lost his cow, and after exhausting search for it sat on a rock to rest, only for the rock to transform into his missing cow. According to folklore, you can try to get out of Cover of the Forest by walking or turning your clothes backwards, because it's a realm where everything is other way around.

I agree - it's easily the most fascinating case of the five. Assuming the presented 'facts' are accurate of course, it's not the simplest thing to explain. Yes finally! I live in Colchester, VT. and the first time I went down to Bennington was with my girlfriend at the time and we went to visit her friend. They had heard about the Bennington triangle but I hadn't but we drove up the road towards Glastonbury mountain anyway but had to turn back because the area was chained off. When we got back I read a book about local mysteries and the area was included. To my shock I realized that I was wearing a red hoodie and at least two people went missing while wearing red. I was definitely spooked. Great job as always and hello from across the pond.

If native warriors avoid a place like the plague, it would be wise to follow suit! After watching programs about missing 411-I have to wonder if some areas should simply be sealed off from the general public and used for military training, like air and artillery bombardment!

Although I'm almost 100% convinced that this was a serial killer, mainly due to the disappearances dropping after a period of time, I still think our ancestors feared the woods for a reason. Whether it be spirits, monsters, beasts, or simply the elements, the wilderness bends to no man. No matter how skilled or experienced they are with the land or the creatures that inhabit it. One wrong step, one change is all it takes to bring you back down to Earth, and then into it. Great video!

Hooray, something from my home state! I've been super excited to see this since I saw it on my feed! Couple of notes. First, one tale I've heard (which may have been misconstrued at some point) is that Abenaki who lived near Glastenbury mountain told tales of a man-eating rock. Apparently, it looked like an ordinary rock, but if you sat on it, it would suck you right into it. Might that be part of the disappearances? If you're interested in learning more about strange phenomena and tales of New England, I highly encourage you to look up Joe Citro, a native writer who's dedicated his life to collecting tales of paranormal in the area! Second, Vermont does indeed have our own version of Bigfoot. We call him Ol' Slipperyskin, and he's been seen since colonial era. He's downright vindictive, smashing farm machinery, attacking cattle, and throwing rocks at farm children. According to Citro, in 1815, a hunter named Jonas Galusha decided that the best way to win the election for governor would be to finally kill Slipperyskin. He gathered a group of hunters and went up to Maidstone in northeastern Vermont, not far from the New Hampshire border. He slathered himself in female bear ointment and tramped off into the woods, hoping to lead Slipperyskin back to him. He did: bare minutes later, he tore back into camp with Slipperyskin himself right on his heels! Everyone scattered in the panic and Slippery got away again. Third, having read Lovecraft's Whisperer in Darkness (a personal favorite of mine), I find it interesting that you commented that Vermont is a place of interest to extraterrestrials. If you've read the story, you'll know why. Thanks for this fun, interesting, and spine-tingly episode from my home state! I look forward to more!

The art, the background music, and the fact that the narrator doesn't get overly dramatic and only puts serious sounding emphasis in the words (for lack of a better description), unless he is reading a quote, make these videos simply the greatest. Its like watching the First 48, only better. This channel and its creators are legends, and deserve way more recognition than they have. Amazing video fellas.

I agree that it is unlikely that a serial killer was responsible for these disappearances. The hunter was holding a rifle when he vanished which he would have used if a serial killer attacked him.

I’m from Vermont my family has been here for a very long time and some of my ancestors are Abenaki which is a local native tribe. There are a lot of places in Vermont that the Abenaki always warned people not to go the Bennington area is definitely a big no fly zone. However there is another place near where I use to live that is the same and walking there is always weird it’s alway unnaturally quite and you feel like your being watched it’s called the Chateaguay and it stretches from Bridgewater to Barnard Vermont and trust me you don’t wanna be walking, hiking, or camping out there especially after dark.

Hey, I know Chateaguay! I grew up in the Upper Valley. Haven't been back in 20 yrs...man, do I miss it. We were told all kinds of places that were not right or, 'thin'. It's funny to think how weird that is now, at the time it was just "Yah, don't go theah."

A far more likely explanation for Middie Winter’s disappearance is that he was killed by one of the visiting hunters, either by accident or because of a more sinister motive. In either case they most likely buried him out in the sticks and stuck to their story. I personally think there are quite natural explanations to all the other disappearances. There may be other people involved in some of the cases, but I sincerely doubt the theory of a serial killer. Serial killers usually have a target group, and the missing people have almost anything together. Their ages varies from 8 to 74 and the victims are of both sexes. That is not the average MO for serial killers. I have a feeling that a lot of the original facts have been compromised by people’s will to read in something mysterious in random disappearances, that simply isn’t there.
