This song is so beautiful and I, especially, love to watch the live versions of it because Mo is so funny during them! My favorite part is during the 1974 Melbourne concert version when Barry sings, “Please be patient...” and then Mo, off to the side, says, “I am.” So hilarious! It sure is amazing how they can be so ridiculous in the middle of a performance and, yet, never miss a beat in it!

My wife lived next door to Andy and his mum and sister in 1965 , the boys who lived at Maroubra at the time would come over Robin was swinging a little 5 year old girl around on the Hills Hoist and she accidently kicked him in the mouth knocking his tooth out , notice the line in the song to swing on Clothes lines. The song was on the opening credits of the British movie Melody ( SWALK ) in 1970.

I often watch this to lighten my mood. They could be so funny. It is how we grew up in Australia. It was the best. Swinging on the clothes line was a right of passage lol

Awww I love that. Yeah I grew up splitting time between Michigan and California but I was always running around outside at the beach or on the water. So I really connect with this song a lot.

Just found you and subscribed to your channel because of this reaction. IMO the Bee Gees are the greatest of all time. The volume of great songs across 5 decades with songs in different genres is amazing. They also wrote and produced songs and albums for other major artists. I can't listen to it without tears. Please try to watch the "Gotcha" video from UK TV. It was a sort of "Candid Camera" where they were the victims. Incredible song. I love this video. I think Maurice might have been a little loose from a couple sips. In an interview they were talking about Maurice's struggle with alcohol. I love how they let him be who he was. They said there were times he would lay down on the stage and go to sleep. The interviewer asked what they did and Robin said they put a cover on him. Like a child when they fall asleep. It was great.
