The clarity of sound & instrumentation on this is outstanding...why am I surprised...everything they do is exquisite 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I was, not to my knowledge, finishing up my first career on the radio when this song came out. With the album release, they sent me a 4 CD box set of their Greatest Hits. I scoffed at the thought of them capturing the Old Magic...and then heard this! Stunned was an under statement, they never lost the MAGIC!

Bahaha!!! "it's almost like they don't wanna say the word"!! I think its a dramatic pause silly!! lol!! And, YES you should watch the documentary!!! Honestly, I've never heard this one. I LOVE IT!! Kinda has a "Jive Talkin" vibe, I was almost expecting to hear Barry sing "talking 'bout jive talkin" a couple times (maybe it's just me!)! lol!! Check out "More Than A Woman" ..... it was another huge hit for them! Great reaction!! :)

Yes….that documentary is so worth watching (like maybe 3X worth it🤣!)!!! If y’all haven’t seen The Story of The Bee Gees (1985), In Our Own Time (2010), or watched the One For All Tour (1989…..same year this song & album were released & a year after Andy passed😢), & One Night Only (Las Vegas MGM 1997)…..I highly recommend all of it!!

I was so in love with the Bee Gees as a little girl!! Fell in love with Barry first, then Andy's album "Shadow Dancing" came out!! I got it for Christmas from my Godmother when I was 8 or 9 y/o.... needless to say, I was obsessed with them!! LOL!! The little girl in me is jumping up and down with joy right now!! Hehe!! The fact that you like them too Biz makes this even better!! Gonna watch now.... ;) ;)

Andy’s my favorite! I had that picture of Andy in the red shirt when I was like 8 or 9. I was so sad when he died…I think I was a sophomore by then and my mom wouldn’t let me stay home. I never forget that. 😔
@tinagilbert89023 жыл бұрын
@@jesrush Oh, that picture of Andy is permanently burned into my mind!! I think we're very close in age.... I was like a sophomore or Junior in high school when Andy died too!! It was awful! I actually did stay home. I think my tears reminded my mother of how she felt when Elvis died so she took pity on me!! Plus, she was a single Mom... she didn't have a whole lot of time to question stuff!! lol!! I'll never forget it either, as well as when Kurt Cobain and Chris Cornell passed. Even though most of us never knew these people in "real life".... their music touches us in ways that are VERY real. Music is so powerful, it kinda transcends everything! :)

@@tinagilbert8902 yes!! We must be close in age. My big one was when Jerry Garcia died. I was on my way to the grocery store and went home. Cried and changed my clothes like I was going to a show and went back to the grocery and got what I needed and bought some Cherry Garcia Ben and Jerry’s and was just distraught. I knew things would never be the same. And boy did I love Andy though….I remember watching Solid Gold faithfully just to watch him…not knowing at that time what was going on with him. So sad.

They had 5 decades of amazing music! Plus they wrote and produced hit songs for other popular artists. They also hit all of the major genres of music. Their talent was epic.They had no musical training, but they worked very hard from a very young age. They wrote just about every song they released.They started singing in 3 part harmony when Barry was 9 and the twins were 6. Barry started writing original songs when he was 12. It is a wonderful and uplifting story of natural talent, persistence, and hard work.They never gave up on their dream! There are a few great docs on You Tube. Barry is writing a book and there is supposed to be a movie coming out, which I do not have alot of faith that their real story will be told. The docs on You Tube are pretty good at telling their true story. There are some really great reactors to their music. One reactor has reacted to over 900 of their songs, and he does a really great job.
