In December 1968 I made my first overseas trip, first stop was the island of Java in Indonesia. I was shocked/surprised when all the young people just wanted to know about the Bee Gees. As an Australian we knew all of their hits and loved them, but it was great to know that their fame had spread to other countries. Pretty soon they had conquered the world.
