Bee Man Vs Bees In Gazebo

In this video I remove a mature colony from the floor of a gazebo.The nails holding the boards in place that I removed to access the colony were well countersunk, very well countersunk!
What a pain that was!
Anyway, the bees weren't the meanest but they weren't kittens either, took some stings but never needed to suit up.
Remember the removal from the Yucca plant? If you watched that video, you may recall the bees swarmed over a few doors into a neighbor's backyard onto their fig tree & I had to seek permission to enter the yard & do my thing.
Well guess what? These did the same damn thing, lol. Watch the video & see it all unfold.

Last July I taught my daughter to take over our bee yard. I told her move slowly, respect of the bees and patience. I miss my homestead. We now live full time on a boat traveling the East Coast. That's fascinating, but I would miss my homestead too. I became disabled and had to sell my horse farm and horses, was like losing extended family. How do you like living on a boat? And the traveling, do you enjoy that too? Sorry to be nosy, I've just always wondered about boat-living. Thank you!

@@Doxymeister I miss my homestead and animals. I would love to have a chicken or two with us. Boating -both my husband and I drove boats in the Coast Guard and we always wanted to get back to the water. We sold our business and my husband retired. Living on a boat is like rving. We move place to place chasing warmer weather. Currently our adventure is the America’s Great Loop. We left Key West and heading north along the coast to the Chesapeake then NY. Heading up the Erie and Trent Servant canals to Michigan, down through Chicago and the river system popping out at mobile Alabama and back to Key West.

Great video! I always enjoy watching your videos. Earlier this year coming out of winter I opened a hive and found two queens. I decided to just let them work it out and left them. Then last week I was showing a new wannabe beekeeper that hive and there was two queens still in there and laying up everything! I have only seen two queens in a hive a couple of times and never seen them stay like that but it does happen. Always something new with bees! Of course you pluck the queen off a tree hidden among thousands of bees, wouldn't be a JP video without that. Really odd how they got so confused that they swarmed with all the brood and smells right in that area, even on the deck with all that honey. Must have been a tad frustrating, but I guess when you have an ace in your pocket being your queen spotting skills, it's just a matter of them landing where you can reach them.
