Bee Man Vs Bees On Fire Pit

Honey bee swarm on fire pit in Kenner, Louisiana.
Grant, the homeowner called me out to shake this swarm of Honey Bees from his fire pit in his back yard. Pretty straight forward but give it a watch & you just might learn a trick or two.
About three days later I release the queen & am surprised at how fast the colony has built comb & made honey.

A guilty pleasure of mine is having a little sound file loaded up in my computer when I watch anyone do a swarm shake. Any time one of y'all cages a queen, I play the "Caught a pokemon!" diddy from the pokemon games. After all, a queen cage is basically a pokeball that catches a whole swarm.

hey JP, thanks for the videos. Very informative. I trapped another swarm this week in some old equipment hung on a tree. I did the cut out, but most bees hung around on s tree trunk. from watching your videos i figured the queen was still at large. I found her, put her in a clip, them smoked the rest. Cracked a beer, watched them march inside, haha..freebees, yay
