I remember having the tape that contained that episode. One other bit that was added at the end was Bushwhack following Calamity Jane, thinking he was following look. And that happened after each cowpoke went their separate ways from the crossroads. She even greets Bushwhack at the end.

To me, the changes made to this adaptation were quite confusing since IDK if there were made in request of the program marketers or the writers. But I do respect that some of the designs and actors were top notch in quality considering it was made in the 1980s.

I'm familiar with Hanna Barbera's history, but no one has mentioned Lucky Luke. But, the Smurfs were mentioned.

I think this mostly aired outside the US other than that one special that was shown in syndication around 1983.
