Everyone watches something or reads something on the toilet, no one thing "I wish I had a free beer now." Maybe some do, I can see the need in advertising but has no use to the consumer. Now make that a fridge full of my grocery list and give me my total at super markets around me and/or smart combinations of stores and my moving costs included (assuming you go grocery shopping by car) now that would be f*n interesting and I'd pay a small fee, watch the ads whatever whatever to get it.

That's exactly my thoughts. If you're a regular beer drinker at home, the purchase will be part of your weekly/daily routine, and will usually be made on your way home from work. No one is going to go out of their way to save a couple of bucks.

There will be a psychological element at play - people don't look at the big picture and consider everything like you mentioned, all they see is the headline price. Exactly the same as people driving out of their way for fuel that's 5c cheaper than the local.

The problem with apps like these is I've run across them before for other things in the play store I've downloaded them looking for prices and and cheaper ways to buy the items that I'm looking for and they're always lacking the database necessary to find the items I want to find even though it they claim to be for those items.and it's an unnecessary app because nine times out of 10 I can go to Google here in the United States and look up most items and find the cheapest place to buy item x I don't know if they do it for beer because I don't look for beer I'm a sober alcoholic but I'm assuming it would do it for beer too or if something like this became big enough Google would eat it and it would become a part of Google services
