hello great video... I have a tech question somewhat I've purchased a German beer stein off eBay its has I.H. Krebs stamped on the bottom. the year 1886 is scratched in the underside of the lid , I was liking to use the stein for my drinking vessel. do you think it would be safe to drink from it, wondering about lead although its just brown no paintings on it but carved hunting scene

Unfortunately, I cannot really make a strong statement about this without seeing the stein. Most people would not use a stein from 1886 :) cheers Markus

Hello Salty, the lids are usually fitted on by hand. They also have some sort of clip on's.
