Also he failed to mention the Moderne Medicine Drugs that also causes Liver Damage & Hepatitis but he didn't mention about it even once. Some Moderne Medicine Drugs that causes Liver Injury was failed to be mention by this doctor but Ayurveda was highlighted (this is why I call it Personal bias as they only talk about what suits their Narrative. If he is a top liver Doc then doesn't he knows about these Medicines too ?). Amiodarone, Anabolic steroids, Birth control pills, Chlorpromazine, Erythromycin, Halothane (a type of anesthesia), Methyldopa, Isoniazid, Methotrexate, Statins, Sulfa drugs, Tetracyclines, Amoxicillin-clavulanate, Some anti-seizure medicines, Disulfiram, Niacin, Azathoaprine, Ketoconazole The liver helps the body break down certain medicines. These include some drugs that you buy over-the-counter or your health care provider prescribes for you. However, the process is slower in some people. This can make you more likely to get liver damage. Some drugs can cause hepatitis with small doses, even if the liver breakdown system is normal. Large doses of many medicines can damage a normal liver. Many different drugs can cause drug-induced hepatitis. Painkillers and fever reducers that contain acetaminophen are a common cause of liver injury, particularly when taken in doses greater than those recommended. People who drink alcohol to excess are more likely to have this problem. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen, diclofenac, and naproxen, may also cause drug-induced hepatitis. taken from google - medlineplus article - 000226

I feel so blessed to be born in a hindu household and grew up with modern scientific education which have taught me to be receptive to both ancient and modern learnings. I feel sorry for some people who are so biased and eventually lost in their lives in search of what is right and wrong. And meanwhile some make profit out of that dilemma of public. This is the only thing came in my mind while watching this video.

I can confirm one of the statements of Dr. Philips regarding the giloy plant being toxic to the liver. In April 2020 (CoVid lockdown), my mother used to give me a hot concoction (kada) made from giloy and turmeric every day to boost immunity against covid. After first week, I was showing signs of jaundice and was vomitting for 2-3 nights after eating anything. I was hospitalised for a week and was diagnosed with hepatitis (can't remember the type). My mother still blames me and my "lifestyle of the young generation" for my illness and the hospital costs. I knew it had something to do with the kada, because i was 21 years old and never faced the issue before. I refused to drink any homemade concoction from then. She still believes it was not the kada, but me "not listening to her". I was also in slight doubt, but still firmly refuse to drink her kada. We have had serious fights on the topic. I may not tell her this, as she might not believe it or may get hurt from the revelation. Let me be the bad guy if it helps. This podcast has brought me some closure on the topic, so thank you.
@ashu010211 ай бұрын
That's. Where your mother was wrong it depends on amount of ingredients and prepration also.. I am sorry ifmy words hurt you
@chiragmandalia893111 ай бұрын
Is there any proof, that what you were consuming is actually giloy? How do you identify it?? And what is quantity of giloy were you consuming? What is the ratio of water and the drug for making a kadha, do you know? Do you have gone through prakruti screening for consuming it? Everyone knows that self medication from modern medicine is dangerous, after any small diseases like cold and fever, we just go to the general practitioners and ask them what drugs needed to get cured.. but as ayurved comes in, we just self medicate us, whatever herbal, whatever your dada, nana, mama says is good for all and whatever shown to you by influencers and celebrity is right, consume every damn shit!!! Why people are not aware that self medication of any pathy that exists or have existed or will exist in future, will require proper examination of the patient and then giving them the treatment! Self medication never works!!!

Sorry but the way you were taking about kada simply tells you got no idea about its dose and proper ingredients. So please cosult a registered Ayurvedic practitioner 1st
@krutithakore582911 ай бұрын
We need evidence-based proof that giloy was the root cause of your problem and not your lifestyle. Just like the liver doctor is promoting evidence-based practices, you too cannot blame giloy without proof. Any tests were done to proove that giloy caused the problem? Giloy is an ayurvedic medicine and just like modern medicine it is supposed to be taken under supervison of ayurvedic doctor. You would not take an antibiotic without doctors prescription then why would you take ayurvedic medicine without vidya's prescription and then blame it?

Allegations Victims/Patient Organ were transplanted in Foreign National and this LiverDoc crying about lack of Organs & system procdure for Indians. What a Hypocrite they are. Read Para from Newspaper below " Abin was admitted to Baselios Hospital after suffering a head injury in a bike accident on November 29, 2009. He was shifted to Lakeshore Hospital on December 1, 2009, where he was declared brain dead. His relatives were induced to donate the vital organs of Abin. Later his organs were transplanted to a foreign national. Later Dr Ganapathy came to know about the flaws on the part of the hospital and doctors and he suspected a conspiracy by denying proper treatment and hastily declaring Abin as brain dead. The brain death was declared by doctors who are not authorised for the purpose. " "Even before he was declared brain dead, doctors for organ transplantation visited him and a liver function test was conducted."

An excellent guest Ranveer. In general, if you look at Indian influencers touting Ayurveda, lot of them pull out baseless claims. The more baseless the claims the more the fan followers and subscribers. I applaud you for your courage of letting this doctor speak his mind.
