Un homme de "bien" en dehors d'être un grand pianiste et un chef d'orchestre mondialement estimé. Nous espérons que sa santé s'améliore et que nous aurons le plaisir de bientôt le revoir

This man was so brilliant on so many levels, whether it was his pianistic skills, conducting, deep knowledge of and memory for so many pe pieces of music, language, literature….it’s impossible to understand how one human mind could contain all of that! The only person who comes to mind to compare him with is Leonard Bernstein, who wasn’t perhaps as practiced in piano because he was also a composer. And Barenboim had so many side projects, such as the initiatives he shared with Edward Said, and he performed with so many different people in chamber music and duets in addition to flying all over the world to conduct….he lived 5 lives in one! I know he’s still alive, but obviously-and very sadly-Barenboim has been so ill and unable to interact musically any more, if seems that past tense makes more sense. I hope and pray he’s not in any pain!
