I've always enjoyed your performances of this Sonata on KZbin (especially the GoPro version a couple of years ago) but nothing compares to the live performance you gave a couple of months ago at Monkton Combe which I was fortunate to witness. The way you played that opening Arpeggio Mysterioso was unforgetable. It hung there resonating in the stillness and total silence of the recital room and everybody was left wondering what is coming next. It is moments like these that makes you appreciate the profundity and the wonder of great music. Thank you for giving us this insight. Your performance was truly magnificent.

@michailkotin69644 жыл бұрын
@Professor6944 жыл бұрын
@michailkotin69644 жыл бұрын

So for anyone like me who always wondered: "ValentinaLisitsa @ Emmanuel Nicolaides It came from a young girl in Indonesia, and she even spelled ot wrong "da quin" I thought it was very cute". Perhaps "da quin" might be correct spelling in a local pidgin english or creole?

Bravissimo. You show us that Beethoven did not "compose" this. In fact, he discovered something that was there all along, waiting to be revealed. I realize that it demeans you for me to say that you "channel Beethoven". You do something more profound -- you reveal aspects of this ineffable musical edifice that even Beethoven missed the first time around. Each of these is a living breathing being, imprisoned until now. You don't "play" these, or even "perform" them. You breathe life into them, so that they envelop and embrace us. I think this is what I most cherish about this entire Sonata cycle. These are so much more than individual pieces dreamed up, written down, and then repeated verbatim for centuries. You, Valentina, are one of a handful of explorers who delicately unearth these. You brush away the debris and cobwebs, you polish the surfaces until they gleam, then you bring them to life in all their glory for each of us. Please don't stop. Don't stop with Beethoven. Don't let the pandemic stop you. Thank you

Prachtvolle, tadellose Interpretation! Shakespeare. 1.Teil: "Der Sturm". 3. Part: "Sommernachtstraum". Ein Ostergeschenk.
