Привет! ...

It is impossible to explain all the uses of Я and Мне through: Я- action and I Мне - emotion.” Мне надо / нужно идти в магазин. Надо / нужно. Это предикатив. Часть речи, выполняет роль сказуемого (acts as a predicate), значит процесс, состояние, качество (means process, condition, quality).

Hello Fedor, your videos are a big help. I'm about 5 months into studying Russian and I wanted to ask if you could do a lesson on phrases and words for disabled people. I'm paralyzed and use a wheelchair and often need to call ahead to make sure places are wheelchair accessible. I need to ask if the bathrooms are accessible when I go to restaurants, hotels, concerts and I have to ask if there are stairs or a lift or ramp. Большое спасибо.

The greatest illusion is the illusion of separation. Things that seem separate are actually one and the same. If you open your mind, you'll see that all the pronouns are one, all words of the same language. Even мне is just a part of я that has been purified and refined.

In most North Indian languages, we also have equivalents of я and мне. However, we also have instances where you can use either of the two, if you construct the sentence differently. Is it similarly possible to use either of the two forms in Russian in some cases?

Kerry Tom My best friend is Russian, and she has always complained to me about how Americans say they love tomatoes, French fries, burgers, etc. and then they say that they love you, too. In Russian, from what I understand, love isn’t considered just a feeling, and it’s not something they just say like we do over small things. It is actually meaningful and implies action, and that’s why she’s been so annoyed with Americans who think it’s just some feeling. So maybe that is why it’s Ya lyublu vs. Mne.
