The two men were entirely different entities in music, yet they had admiration and respect for one another behind the scenes. Prince was heartbroken when MJ passed away, and was reclusive for day's in his home. Prince refused contact or communication with anyone, he was devastated 💔. Regardless of whatever media promoted squabbles were pushed between the two, they didn't truly dislike each other. I love them both for different reasons and for what makes them unique as indevidual artists. MJ definitely went through hell on this earth, in more way than one. R.i.p. MJ & Prince. Two amazing, incredible people who will forever be missed and NEVER duplicated.

11:40 I loved them both. They had different styles. Prince wasnt effeminate. He was a sexy guy & self assured. Michael was to an extent. Prince was down to earth & a stronger person in my opinion. Purple Rain is a classic & always will be

Michael's son was born on the day Prince released his "Emancipation" album. Michael even named his son "Prince"! Sheesh. I'll never forget: Prince was performing a premier show on MTV (or was it VH1?). While Prince was performing, a news scrawl at the bottoming of the screen announced the birth of Michael's kid! It was like a purposeful distraction from Prince's show!

Michael Jackson was my favorite. I think Prince had short man's disease. Both were truly talented. Michael had such a good heart.

I was born in 72'. Thriller out in 82' & Purple Rain 84'....back in the cassette days prior to CDs, my mom had both cassettes in the car. They both ruled 80s pop music world. I personally like Prince better bc he played guitar as well as sang. Michael was a hell of a dancer. The 80s brought a lot of 'firsts' in my life. Bruce was my 1st ever concert on the Born in the USA tour @ The Orange Bowl in Miami, FL. Van Halen became my idols (1984 album) pre Hagar & The Monsters of Rock tour w Kingdom Come, Dokken, Scorpions, Metallica & VH was my 1st concert without my own mom. I was 14 and moms best friend took me. I personally prefer Hagar over Roth, again bc Sammy plays guitar...but Roth is a hell of a showman. I loved the 80s....my growing up years with John Hughes movies & awesome music. I love all music, today i lean most towards hippy jam bands....Grateful Dead music, Phish, Widespread Panic, String Cheese Incident, moe.,

I watched the making of We Are the World and for Prince to not show up because of a childish reasons is awful. He wanted a guitar solo and he wanted to do his part from a different room alone. That just shows me that he could never be a team player even when it was for a very good reason.
