Great Video and Information. Since my factory warranty runs through July 2023, I’ve kept mine bone stock. Not one modification or additional money has been spent on my F80 6MT. I heavily modified my (daily) Audi B8.5 Allroad on the other hand.

Hey i know it's been years but i really want to get a bmw M but what I really worry about is the ride height. How can I deal with driving on different road conditions? Road bumps, pavements, inclines (the top and bottom transitions), tight spaces.

just got an f82 mineral white, like ur content dude, instantly subscribed. Is there any difference between PPF and ceremic coating? Which one you recommend ? Thx man
@TheDailyDriven3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter! Appreciate it. The difference between PPF and ceramic coating is huge. The PPF is a layer of clear durable plastic that gets put onto the exterior of the car. It helps prevent rock chips onto the paint. Ceramic coating is a layer of protection that is applied onto the exterior of the paint. This won't protect against rock chips. Its common to have the front portion of the car to be PPF'd since that is the high impact area. Hope that helps.
@peterqu63693 жыл бұрын
@@TheDailyDriven thx buddy, probably going for an PPF then,

Did the monthly premium for this mechanical coverage go up since the video started or same price?

It does vary depending on which state you live in. For example FL seems to be relatively cheap but my father in GA was quoted way higher on an X3.

@TheDailyDriven Жыл бұрын
There's really no National PPI company that I know of. You really just need to ask around in your local area. Maybe look on the forums where somebody has used and they can give you somebody they highly recommend but that's very difficult to to give you where I don't know where you live and stuff. But try the forums

I’m about to pull the trigger on a 16’ m4 with 78k miles on it for 40k, will do a ppi, what do you think tho?
@TheDailyDriven2 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the color, condition, transmission, any accidents and ect. There's a lot of other factors that you'll need to evaluate if it makes sense as a good deal.
@greatness_arives9252 жыл бұрын
@@TheDailyDriven no accidents, fully optioned, dct, CARFAX doesn’t have much service history, I’m guessing the owners took to private shoots instead of the dealership, gray exterior with white interior. The dealer that’s selling it to me replaced the valve cover gaskets and oil pan so I’m guessing they are adding that to the price

@@TheDailyDriven an extended warranty company is willing to sell me a 5 year/ 50k miles bumper to bumper for 3600. Comes out to 60 bucks a month. Been looking to buy for 6 months since I got my job and really appreciate any advice you can offer!
@TheDailyDriven2 жыл бұрын
Here's one thing to look at. How "in love" are you with this spec? Is this the color combo or options you wanted. I say if you've waited this long for one, maybe find the right spec you want. For me I had to have Austin Yellow and a six speed. I didn't care for the options. That price seems to be fair for the current market, especially it being no accidents. It does suck that there's no service history.

You spoke of nothing pertaining to the F80 specifically. What mechanical or electrical issues tend to arise with these cars? What are the weak points ? What are the remedies to these issues if any? Great points in regard to buying any used vehicle, but nothing specific directed the specific make and model of which someone doing research on would need.
