I got these despite the review because I tired them on at the shop. My feet are wide af and these work really well for me. No heel slip, pretty stable, broken in pretty quick. I feel like these were made for people with wide feet. narrow feet people will get a ton of slippage. So I feel like diff shoes for diff folks. Since I saw this review and went with gel res 8. that shoe hurt so bad because it was narrow, the strip pressed into my foot and the plastic on the side also pushes into my foot and thats when I gave up and got these.

I have previously worn Nike shoes and been very statisfied as they are well suited to my narrow feet. The Nike Vapour NXT were very disappointing. I agree that the break in period was ridiculously long and my feet suffered during this period.

Thanks, dude. I just had my right hip replaced & have down time to shop for shoes to replace my $45 Amazon Nikes (junk!). I now know that compromising on certain gear may lead to poor performance, at best and injury, at worst. Looking forward to a pair of ASICS Gel Resolution 8's when I return in August.

Thanks Mark! I almost bought a pair of these to try out. Now, no way. I totally agree that Nike is out of control. I used to use the Lunar Ballistic for years and was so happy - now I can't find a Nike shoe that works for me. What shoe do you like best now? I am using Asics and Babolats (gel res 8 and propulse blast) but have never found the best replacement for the Nike/Lunar.

Hopefully Nike never comes again with LB, since they made that shoe the traction and trademark of the Ballistec line is lost and until the Vapor Cage never seems to be close to the beloved Cb 2.3 or 4.3 (Still is very far but is acceptable) Also I remember the LB bottomed pretty quickly for like a 165 dollars shoes. Nike has trashed their vapor line of tennis shoes. Anything after the 9.5 was just not worth trying. Mark you should try the Nike Air Zoom GP Turbo. I think it's a better option than any of the Vapor shoes.

Ok, so, they are narrow and lack comfort and stability. Thanks for the tip. The statement in the beginning about Nike having to many models does not make sense to me. The different models give us choices based on types of feet, cushion, foot width, arch, weight, upper, outsole, color and price. The many models don't hurt Nike as a company and nor is it bad for consumers.

Nike Cages are my favorite. I like the rubber on the foot box and they seem to get real tight around the ankles if you like snug fits.

I must say that many of the tennis shoes I've played with are quiet stiff and uncomfortable, the most comfortable shoes I've played tennis with is a basket ball shoe (adidas).

I appreciate the review. Nike continues to disappoint me. Gonna have to hard disagree with you on Wilson, though...my Rush Pro 3.0s are the best shoes I’ve used since my (very old) Babolat Propulse 3s. I’ve been paranoid about my ankles since a bad roll 10 years ago and I found them very stable.

Rubbish shoes. I do not wear nike shoes since years. Last year I gave them another try. I send it back, after trying on. I do prefer asics, diadora and Head shoes.
