As a yoga teacher, I couldn’t agree more how important it is to take some time to stretch, increase range of motion and balance between strength and flexibility, effort and ease, engagement and relaxation especially in this uncertain period. Hope more people can join this ‘letting go’ practice with us. I appreciate your consistant sharing with such a lovely intention and dedication, it means a lot to us, Maddie💕

31:25 "and the goal is to have your hips flat on the floor" You gotta be joking me! Goal, as in life goal for an inflexible guy like me? This is a great routine, but you should really show some alternatives, as several postures are currently not available to most (I'd guess) clicking this video.

So... I started working out during quarantine. I've been pretty consistent in keeping with my workouts. Always a combination of cardio , core and stretch. Suddenly, I'm finding it quite uncomfortable to sit. In the passenger seats of vehicles in particular. It hurts my left butt cheek to sit. I looked up reasons for this and it seems I might have caused some strain to the sciatic nerve. I looked up stretches to ease the tension on the nerve and pose for pose, this routines covers all of the stretches I have seen. I have since altered my weekly routine. I did take a couple of weeks off just to rest that muscle/nerve. And today was my first day back. Maddie, I cannot thank you enough for this routine. I have posted earlier how this is my favorite stretch routine. But after this stretch, my butt feels soooooooooooooooo much better. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Added to my yoga playlist that only has now 10 videos including one of your actual yoga videos. 7 of the remaining 8 are Yoga with Adrienne. I see a lot of similarities but like to switch up routines and you do a few stretches that really challenge me that she doesn't do. The only thing I wish there was more of was teaching the breathing aspect of stretching which is so important and also going into further detail on what the other parts of the body are suppose to be doing during a stretch. For example, in the beginning we did the shoulder stretch across onto the floor. Some helpful reminders might be to make sure you're not slouching your hips/keeping them square and pushing up. Also, for the first side, I didn't peek at the video so I didn't understand how the stretch was working. The left side I peeked and saw you had your right arm fully extended. Once I did that, the stretch felt amazing. Little things like that would greatly help in future videos. Just hopefully some helpful tips on what I like about in a yogi. Now onto Adrienne's video so I can tell her she needs a video with that side bend/extended leg (talk about challenging!) Thank you very much for your video!

Just wanted to say that I have done version one for about three months. It has been my break from the HIIT/cardio that I do during the week. It has always been my way to end the week and the way to start the week at the same time. Not only do I see the physical benefits of flexibility, but the emotional benefits are amazing as it pulls me away from the everyday but it also helps to recenter me.. almost like an anchor so I am ready to take on the next week. When I came upon version two today... I fell totally in love. This is definitely my new fave. I'm all about tit. Thanks so much.

I am sure there are sets of progressions out there that can help us gain that flexibility little by little. Thank you very much

Been doing these two versions of beginner stretch of yours since the beginning of this year, it's incredible how much more flexible I'm feeling after just 5 weeks. Thank you for these videos! Would appreciate some more of these. Cheers Maddie!

Thank you for this. I am 71 years old and have done one of your 3 flexibility videos every day since March 13, 2020. The increase in my flexibility is noticeable. Thank you.

Nice tutorial from Madfit it's so important to stretch it is a very important part of a workout as far as I'm concerned, the flexibility we gain from it will benefit us when we are older I'm a former dancer but I still continue to stretch even if my dancing days are over, I now teach students and pass on my years of experience to people who want to improve that area of their fitness, a recent survey conducted by the Daily Mail Uk revealed that half of us can't even touch our toes so if you don't stretch on a daily basis start now it's never too late to start

Thank you for this. I've been feeling the need to stretch lately. I am a professional dancer but do not feel like one at all. The pandemic really put a halt to my work and as a result of the uncertainty I have become unmotivated at times to move, stretch, workout or dance. Now I've aged another 2 years and my body is feeling it. Smh I am extremely tight and it does not feel good. Thank you for sharing multiple stretches that I can do to try to get my body feeling normal again.

Thank you very much @MadFit. I'm currently switching between this and the other beginner stretching video every single day. It's not as hard as a workout but I always feel better after doing it. I have problems with my knees, I got screws in my knees, so I need so skip a lot of exercises in workouts. Thank you girl

When she said at the end, "the goal here is to have your hips flat on the floor" I laughed outloud! These dyplastic hips have no chance! Definitely felt the burn. 👍

Hi Maddie. I Love your strech routines. They are vital to me. Could you please post one where you focus a bit more more on the upper body? Shoulders, neck, back, arms? I really need it... Many thanks and please keep on giving us great routines!!!

This routine is so relaxing, I kept yawning throughout the whole video. Almost fell asleep on my mat a few times. LMAO

I love your videos, and am so happy that I found your channel, especially in these quarantine times. Honestly though, this video doesn't feel like a beginners routine. I consider myself inflexible (very), and most of the positions were impossible for me to do. Would you be able to create a video that starts off a little easier, so there's more of a slow build up towards more flexibility? Would love that! Thank you.

I love this! You’ve been keeping me occupied in during this whole isolation and quarantine! I’m doing an ebook at the moment in Australia 🇦🇺 but this is also giving me some extra strength when I’m not doing it!

I really like that you don't talk through the stretch. You explain the stretch and then you silence until it's time for the next direction. I can follow you without constantly looking at the screen. Thank you! 😊

Loved this one, feel like you really work through the body in a calming way that allowes the muscles to relax. Could you do a similar one that works through the entire body but that is 1 hour long? It takes some time for my body to warm up and be open to the stretches fully and I feel like a longer version would be a nice complement to the ones already there. Thank you for sharing these 💖✨

can you put folded blankets under your knees and a cushion under your pelvis to alleviate the pressure? Or is it the stretch itself that hurts your knees?

I loved this video and I had so much fun stretching along side with you! Usually when I do yoga the person talks during the whole time and it can be very distracting. I love how during the stretches it's silent with some relaxing beats in the background. It makes it very fun and relaxing to follow along!

Me thinking oh yes a strech that will be good... During workout : knees pop, legs break, I die ... why why why?! Why are you trying to kill me 😂🤦♀️ But thanks for this hopefully I can work on my flexibility. I love your workouts thank you so much for making them. 😊

Thank you Maddie! I discover you with two of my friends at the beginning of the quarantine. I love how you explain. Also you are really consistent and focus during your video. We just need to press "Play" and it flow nicely and regularly (no time lose, but no rush). I like how different is your content (stretching, flexibility, "muscles", fat burning, from shorter to longer, etc). Thank you so much! I keep you even after quarantine. ❤️💪 I wanna say that video is really good for legs. I worked standing up and already have minimum flexibility for my leg, and it felt really good!

I think with all this extra time we have on hands now, we should be looking to explore our bodies further as any of you ever attempted to split? why not set a new goal as she did, learn to split it can be done within 4 weeks there are channels with how to stretch tutorials online like mine that can guide you to achieving that.

I'm glad I found this video! I'm pretty much full on sedentary and was never taught how to enjoy exercise properly and could never stick to it, so this is the perfect thing to retrain my brain about exercise! It even makes me break a bit of a sweat, so thank you! I'm already finding myself sitting straighter in my chair!
