breathwork in therapy changed my life and changed my entire nervous system. in session, i would breathe so deeply, I'd feel kind of high and just lost in the sensations of my body and my brain.

And I like that it doesn't look like a pro production. You exude authenticity in everything you do (and say). Why not on YT, too? Congratulations, and good luck to this part of your journey. I have a quick question, do you have a time you recommend we do this breathwork? I started doing it before bed and for the past two days I've had some of the most vivid dreams (more like nightmares highlighting some of my biggest fears!) I've experienced. Any thoughts? Thanks!!!

Hi! Before bed works. I prefer morning, but I would go with what is best for you.

Nightmares are very healing for the mind. I've been having vivid dreams and I wake up with the sense my mind is being organized and it feels good! I read a book about this, it's very interesting.

hey i have a question that is very important for me and it's about your breathwork. i did deep belly breathing for the last two weeks and i recognized that i felt pain and heaviness in my belly after i did this breathwork. so i assume that this is because i have trauma but i don't know how to release that trauma. thank you for everything and i hope you answer❤️

Why does this exercise make it feel like I'm breathing through heavy sludge for a bit afterwards? Its almost like I'm feeling just how beaten down my lungs are from smoking?? (I quit about a month ago)
@armimarmi715 жыл бұрын
The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems are usually both active. Less like a brake and gas pedal it's more like a balance where if one is being strongly activated, the other is being actively suppressed. This is different from the brake and gas pedal model. That model suggests that when one is on the other is off which is simply not true! It's oversimplifying the mechanisms of the nervous system. It also provides a possible explanation as to why access coping mechanisms (that I assume are mediated by parasympathetic) is especial hard when we need them most (when the sympathetic system has us feeling activated/triggered). I hope this makes sense, I'd love to also hear you thoughts :)
