Dear religious hippie, am a 67 year old man, was Protestant as a young man, at around 30 I began to have repeatedly memories come back to me over months of my Catholic childhood. It was very vivid and stayed with me. I began to pray the our father and Hail Mary from memory and looked for a rosary, found one and began to pray the rosary. This was in conflict with what I had been taught as a Bible believer. But I knew it was true. At the time I was dating a lady who had been Catholic as a child, but had also been a Protestant. We came to the church together and reverted together also. And were married and had children and remained Catholics.

The Didache Bible has one page Apologetical Explanations which are excellent. Some of the titles are Purgatory, Heaven, hell, several are devoted to Mary, the Fathers of the Church, Intercession of the Saints and many more. They include citations to the Catechism. I love this Bible which is published by Ignatius Press and highly recommend it for Catholics and others who would like to learn more about our faith.

These couple of videos you made on the topic helped reshape how I’ve been doing my channel. My channel is about apologetics, as I was an anti-Catholic Protestant for over 30 years before I converted. I find myself pulled to apologetics because I was the one making the bad arguments against the church for most of my life. I did find myself getting into extended arguments with “swine” for a long time, but realized that it’s better to just plant the seed in their head and move on. It’s actually more effective that way, and it also helps the others reading it see that you (as the apologist) aren’t desperate. You’re just there to give the truth and if they don’t want to take it, that’s on them.

One of the better books that I have is the Fathers Know Best by Jimmy Akin. This book is nothing but pure pure quotes from the Church Fathers drawn from a myriad of sources. Jimmy literally has done a lot of the heavy lifting for us.

Still waiting to meet the Protestant or humanist who is open to Truth, and it's been 25 years. I decided not to become an apologist b/c I figured Scott Hahn would have converted everybody by the time I got all my PhD's, but it turns out he hasn't made a dent. Those people don't want the truth and talking w/them is a huge waste of time.
