nice! We need more particle tests + techniques with the updated native system! Glad to have this one!

i'm using octan and v-ray how can i use redshift - rs object how can i make my paricale appper in my render , help please i search about this alwayes + thanks for tutorial
@fberczi14 сағат бұрын
Hi! If you are using another engine, like octan, vray, corona,..and so on,..you need to use cloner object, because these engines can’t render particles like redshift (native). So make a cloner, set it to object mode, and use Particle Group as an target object. Now you can render your particles. Be aware to the cloned object. Use a lowpoly objects, or a simple polygon. Good luck!

can't get past the data mapper section has something changed?
@martinpelliza121021 сағат бұрын
hey, same problem here, it took me a while to figure it out, but if you take a closer look at the spline wave in the data mapper, in the tutorial it has a gauss bell but in C4D by default its a straight line. Also the Upper OUT value shows 100 by default in my C4d and in the tutorial its 1. hope it helps

One think I love about Trapcode particular is that I can fade in, out, and use random opacity as well as making them soft edged very quickly. Is there a way to do this using C4D particles? I've tried in this and x-particles, but nothing really has that soft nice look
@SketchyvisualsАй бұрын
Using the data mapper to map the age by velocity magnitude could do a bit of that I reckon

@@Sketchyvisuals random opacity would be amazeballs
@robbieashcroftАй бұрын
Haven’t played with the particles in a while so maybe there’s a built in way - but couldn’t you randomly colour the particles and pipe that attribute into your opacity on the shader?
@SketchyvisualsАй бұрын
@@robbieashcroft fancy seeing you here 🫨yeah you can I done that on the Logitech job I did, I’ve never done it randomised though but using the opacity in the material is deffo the best way rn.

this amazing. thank you - i do have a question that maybe someone can answer - I am trying to render over a white background but am losing a ton of particles/informtiopn. is there a set-up in C4D that will help? Or would you render with alpha and compover white in AE?
@SketchyvisualsАй бұрын
@@JS-bu3wq oh man this is like a tale old as time with particles. Soon as you make the BG white half the particles are invisible. In most cases I attempt to just art direct around that. Make the particles bigger, add more of them. Make your shadows darker etc. Do everything you can to make them POP. Literally had this issue making the XMAS Grains of my logo at the beginning of these tutorials.
