Pretty good basics, it took me a while to figure out putting signal on both sides if trains will travel both ways.😅

Man thats hardcore, using robots instead of trains. Though definitely less complex If you set the ore deposits to lowest frequency then trains become forcibly relevant. Presents interesting logistical problems until you can get laser turrets everywhere

A comment on your opinion of inconsistent cargo delivery by trains: Trains are usually kept shorter, and the tracks and stations are made in such a way that multiple trains can occupy one loop through either an X in the rail or the simpler but less space efficient loop at the end Then you can just add more trains and more stations until the cargo delivery is at the level you need When the distances are big enough to warrant trains, they can transport more goods per second per unit of space than belts, and can be scaled up more easily because you can add a lot of trains and stations until a 2 way railtrack is saturated. Robots can technically compete if your computer can handle it, which is unlikely because of the huge number of bots required
