My two brain cells couldn't come up with a good title for this video but I felt chopping part of the roof off warranted the 'extreme' descriptor so I hope that's suitable to all of you. Hope you all enjoyed this little update!

It was interesting to hear that another "cottage industry" has begun in Scotland. I'd never heard of the little cabins being built like that! And moisture behind walls in Florida would mean black mold, so count your blessings that you have the snow and icy weather that must kill it off! (But I know it's no fun to find ANYTHING behind your walls. Other than a stack of money, that is.) 😂

George, @Patchy - is the dark stuff on your walls & framing black mold? It looks like the stuff I have in parts of my attic and I’m wondering if I should be more proactive in dealing with it . . .

Woah there, a dramatic reenactment should have had a bit more of a warning- I wasn’t prepared at all 😅 The plastic window frames are PVC- I have some too👍 But best of all was the “foosty” window 😂 I’m in Australia and hubby is Scottish and I love hearing that word!! 😂🥰😜

I like the fact you use trade professionals for the work. Coming from Australia people doing building/plumbing/electrical etc have to study for 3 years + to become certified. It is to ensure better quality works. Even with this you still can get shoddy labour. When I see content creators doing the full renovation without the help of professional tradespeople I do shudder - despite enjoying watching people fix up their homes learning and doing all the work. I like the pace and format style of your content.

Lovely to hear your voice again, Patchy, and see this progress. Your brain cells are magnificent ! I love the sky lights, the more natural light, the better the home. If only I had done this to my south facing roof when I began renovating, it would improve the esthetics of the entire home. It's been said that you should plan to build (reno) two houses, because you learn so much from the first. Take special care of yourself, and I'll be looking forward to your next istallment. ,':*} Hugs from BC, Canada

Hi George and Junior !! Well Mr. Sean Paul and his team hit the mark once again !! The windows look really nice. The house is coming along nicely, me thinks !! Yes, I think your tours of tiny houses and the Holiday Pods would get lots of traffic. I enjoyed watching the ones you've done so far. Between You, Scotland Unplugged (Robert) and The Hoof GP (Graeme, He helped rescue the loneliest Sheep off that cliff) I get a nice amount of Scotland education. Oh, actually, Robert over at Scotland Unplugged, went to the place you took your mum, with the stone fortress (with the glass doors) overlooking the water falls (I can't remember the name of it just now), I commented to him, that you had just been there not long ago.

Ha..ha...you always manage to throw in a comment here and there that make me chuckle, George. SeanPaul and Chris seem to do really good work. I remember the horror of having my home constructed from the ground up. The workers were not anywhere near these two's diligence/work ethic. For example, during the final tour of the house before we signed the papers stating everything were done satisfactorily, I felt a bump on the carpet which I demanded be inspected/corrected. It turned out to be a pile of trash they simply covered with the carpet. I also hired someone to check the roof tiles since I could not climb the roof myself, and found many broken roof tiles they were just going to leave me with. Now in my senior years, I wish I lived in a tiny house.

@@Patchy look up RAF Edzell. It was a small Navy base. The purpose of the base was to spy on the Russian submarines that were in the North sea. Once the Cold War ended the base closed down. So many of us Americans that lived near Edzell loved the three years they had there and many have gone back to revisit.
