Excellent! I really enjoyed how you put this together - "showing what's important to you" is what sets it apart and makes it so enjoyable to watch - great job! I rode 421 in September - first pass was in the rain, loaded and 2-up on our way to Boone, NC. We ran it on the way home in the dry - it's an awesome twisty road until it bites back - glad he was ok and very fortunate it was not a worse outcome.

Yeh, we have gone over it again and again in our heads and been struck each time with just how lucky he was to come away with some broken ribs. It was tough for him at some plots but it could have been SO much worse. It is so cool that you had a chance to ride the Snake too. I can't imagine how terrifying that would have been wet but I hope to get back there in good weather just to ride it again. Thank you so much for your feedback and I am glad you enjoyed it. So do you figure about one day per section? I’m thinking about going up to section 6 at the end of July. I might be solo, but it looks like there is a lot of other bikes and traffic on the road if need be.
@BeGoneForGood Жыл бұрын
One day per section should be MORE than enough. Early on, the going is kind of slow so it might take a little longer for each section. By the time you get to the top, you can shoot through multiple sections in a day. The average of one per day is pretty reasonable.

I called and the guy has a 100 year lease on it that he began in the late 90s, early 2000s that he wasn’t ready to get rid of yet. The tag we saw wasn’t asking for buyers but was simply on the building to let the county know who had ownership of the property. It was a little disappointing. We are still looking. ;-)

Just found your channel as I am prepping for the MABDR in the spring. It looks like you have the Mosko Reckless setup for the Africa Twin. I am thinking about that model for luggage. How did it work for you on the AT? Great footage and editing BTW!
@BeGoneForGood4 жыл бұрын
Welcome and thank you so much for watching. First off, you are going to have an awesome time on the MABDR. If you have any questions or need anything from us, just let me know and we’ll help out in any way we can. As for the R80 on the AT, I have a couple of vids about fitment and some other thoughts but I’ll do a quick note here. The fit is a little off with the grab handles but it isn’t a big deal. I found my entire pack out fit nicely for this trip and I was very good about organization on this trip. The bags are awesome and the compartmentalization is hugely helpful. I had a small problem with leaking from the leg bags through the seams but it wasn’t massive and Mosko took care of it when I returned. I have been through a lot with the R80 and so far it has lived up to its name. I’ve been very happy with the purchase and would certainly recommend to anyone.

How do you like the Mosko Moto Reckless (80) panniers? Did you buy the Backcountry 40 duffle to use with it? I have a 2018 ATAS and can’t decide to go with the Reckless panniers or the 35l Backcountry panniers and racks. Great video!
@BeGoneForGood4 жыл бұрын
I love all my different Mosko gear for sure. I didn't get the BC40 duffle but I have been considering it as a replacement for the center bag on the R80 because it would make housing the camera gear easier. I purchased the R80 instead of the rack system because I wasn't happy with racks on my first bike, the CB500X. Now they weren't Mosko stuff but I just didn't like the added size with the racks and wanted a sleeker, removable option since I don't need luggage most of the time when I am riding. We have a buddy that rides with us all the time who has the BC35 Panniers and they are really nice. I don't think you would be disappointed with them in any way. The one thing that might be a deciding factor though would be the R80 fitment on the AT because of the grab handles. It isn't terrible but it isn't perfect the way the BC35s might be. Sorry for not giving you a better bit of advice but honestly, it really depends on your preferences and what you value in your luggage. Good luck and thank you so much for the comment.
