If you want to get a job (more specifically a Product Management job) at a top tech company you MUST deliver your achievement related behavioral interview answers with extremely clear problem statements.
In this video I share an example of a Product Management coaching client (going after a Sr. PM role at Amazon) that had trouble determining how to structure his top achievement answer with the right problem statement. After I asked a number of clarifying questions we ultimately got to the root problem.
At any organization we face a barrage of problems - It's our job as Product Managers to parse through these problems as if they they were a pyramid. Some problems are small and fall at the bottom of the pyramid, some medium that fall in the middle of the pyramid, and then there's usually ONE problem that sits at the top - This top problem is what senior leadership would care MOST about. Once you isolate this problem within your interview story you'll drastically improve the chances of getting to the finish line.
