I sat down about two years ago now and a scripture slapped me, "pay Cesar's things to Cesar and God's things to God" followed by "the borrower is always a slave to the lender" and it occurred to me, you can't proclaim to a servant of God if you dismissing a principle in his word. So with research and prayer I consolidated all my collections, past due bills and paid it all for 12 months. Finally was pre-qualified for a mortgage, closed on June 1st. All of that to say, it can be done. But we have to be willing to sacrifice a little or a lot to do things the right way and reap the reward designed for you. I appreciate your tips, it's very realistic and on point. Congrats on finally seeing the light. ❤

If any of you might be overwhelmed with all the different due dates for your bills, mine were scattered all over the month, which was difficult to keep track of. I assessed the times during the month that I knew I would have the money for each bill, and then I called on each one and asked if they could permanently change the due date. I was happily surprised how accommodating they were! My rent is due on the 3rd, with no fees or penalties, and all my other bills are due on the 20th or later. So, I can set aside half for each bill with my first paycheck, and then I only need the other half of the bills due on the 20th. I am so amazed at how much easier it is and how much more money I have available to save or spend as needed.

Ma'am can I say this was very much helpful. I thank you for your transparency. My problem is I am out of work and all bills are behind, so this puts fear in me to call the companies because I have nothing to offer right now. My life a serious change within 2 years starting with covid and went downhill from there. I am seeking employment now but nothing yet. When I say stressed out, Chile I cry secretly and then wipe my eyes and smile like everything is alright. I am trusting God because he placed a situation on me last year that I need to do and handle but I am trusting him to provide for the situation he needs me to attend to. I am 100% sure he wouldn't entrust me with this task and not provide for me. Your story is very encouraging and I appreciate you. Thank you

Blessings to all. Word of serious advice. Never play around " having your best life" and not paying your mortgage or rent under no circumstances. Hair and nails must be done at home and payments must be made for where you lay your head. Good luck to all of those struggling and not just being careless. 🙏

I am severely behind on bills and just did a “Financial reset” meaning My account is so overdrawn I have to switch banks to be able to stop giving the bank half my paycheck. Digging myself deeper and deeper in a hole, not proud but I’m tired having to overdrawing my account because I don’t have enough money to make it to payday. It was like the payday loan cycle, so I bailed. I’m here to start over and be financially responsible.

I truly appreciate this video. Sis you spoked directly to me. Life sometimes bring about a change and when you are self employed and you hit those slow months it can really impact financially and it's not a good feeling to not be able to pay your bills on time. This video has been very encouraging. This year I developed the Motto that I am on to living a more healthier and wealthier life. A few months ago the Lord spoke in my spirit that my Latter Days Shall Be Greater Than My Former Days and I truly Believe This To Be True and I am breaking the spirit of LACK. In Jesus Name🙏🙌

Thanks so much for sharing this video, i started my budget journey January 2023, and it has been a sacrifice but to me it is well worth it. I continue to Tithe as well, as a matter of fact on this budget journey I have increased my tithes twice, I have even been able to set a small amount of savings for my grandkids, watching my debt grow smaller an smaller, and just excited to be a better steward over what God has given me. Also, this journey is also about my future, I see so many senior citizens struggling through life financially when they should be out relaxing and enjoying life, but instead they are still working. But enough about my journey. Be encouraged ladies we can do this! One day at a time, if you fall get back up and try it again. God gives us Brand New Mercy and grace everyday, we need to also give ourselves the same.

You are so right!! It feels great being a good steward over what God has blessed us with. His word is so true and I love that His word never comes back void. I know that we can do it if we stay consistent, true to God's work and He will carry us through. He proves it always to me. We got this! I have really embraced giving myself grace. It helps so much

After watching your video I do agree with calling the company you owe. I believe that’s the main root to at least myself I ignore creditors. And I try to think I can do it on my own or I would tell myself “I know I know I’ll do it next week or whenever” so the communication is very key in all aspects of life and sticking to the commitments. I was afraid and scared that I was going to get one of them evil 👿 customer service representatives. but girl I was able to get my light bill on a 12 month plan. So now I’m working on the rest. 😅🥵 just need to stick to the commitment to get through.

I am so overjoyed i found this video!! God is good. I have struggled tremendously with sticking to a budget. When you say to figure out you why . My why is exactly the reason you started for yourself . I am a black and white person as well . I want to be able to stick to a budget, pay my bills and live my best life as well . My problem is that i am a compulsive shopper 😫. There have been several times when i have put my wants before my needs and that has gotten me in serious financial jeopardy... Oh But God!!! He has been so merciful ,even though i don't deserve it . But i am so sick and tired and an soo ready to get off this hamster wheel for good this time . I am ready to stick to a budget and make all the cuts that i need too no matter how painful it will be in the short term . My goal is to have enough money for retirement, which is not that far away for me and to leave just a little something to my boys. Thank you for your transparency and encouragement.. new subbie here

Moral of the story is do not get credit cards they are not a good thing to have. When asked to apply for credit 💳 in these stores tell them like I do (you going to pay the bill when it comes) I don't care what anyones says credit cards 💳 are not a good thing. (Don't care what you say) stay away from them pay cash if you don't have cash for it then you can't afford it leave it there. Have a great day

I am so glad I ran up on this video because hunty, you are speaking to the choir. I am so lost, and I recently started my budgeting process but I have to budget on my 2nd check of the month. I am currently journaling to figure out where I need to start. I currently pay all my bills on the first of the month....rent, car, furniture, and renter's insurance. My second check is basically free, and that check is what I want to use to budget. The only "bills" that come out of that check are my monthly subscriptions and 3 credit cards. So I basically have almost $2000 to budget. I am looking into changing my monthly subscriptions to yearly because I heard you save so much by paying them that way. As for my credit cards all of them are due in the beginning of the month, so I am so glad you said to call and speak with them, because I really need my due date to be changed, so I hope they can help me with that. Listening to this makes me feel there is a light at the end of the tunnel. God definitely sent you to my feed this morning. Good luck to you and anyone watching and commenting on your journeys! Be blessed!!

I'm glad to pay off all the credit card balances today with half of this paycheck. There are times also that it is not that a person is being irresponsible for not being able to pay their bills or get caught up. Some people work hard all their lives and are still struggling. The problem can be just not having enough money to do so even if they are working a full time job and 2-3 additional jobs. Life is hard for those that don’t get that opportunity for either a door of opportunity opening for them, that family member or friend that referred them to a resource or just to provide that additional knowledge on a topic, a book deal, or that rich uncle, or live in a thriving community. So not everyone that is struggling is to be considered irresponsible.

Stop equating happiness to luxuries!! Eating out, traveling, and duplicate clothing are not for credit cards. If you can do those things from your income that should be the only way you're comfortable doing them. Stop rewarding bad behavior.

I understand how you feel. I am working my behind off just to “try” to pay bills. I am not living life at all. I just work to pay bills that I am in over my neck on. 😢

@@DeNyce- after going over and over and over and asking myself why am I steady paying the same bills again and agin and it’s higher and higher. I them realized from a representative of my cable and T-Mobile to credit cards. They all said the same thing it’s the late payments, the overdraft fees, reactivation fees on top of the new bills coming in at the same time. That’s really what it is seriously.

@@DeNyce- so from now on I’m going to do this budget planning. It’s tuff at first because you have all your bills over due. The only way I see myself getting out of debt or at least get my bills back under the line of past due or to good standing. Is to do the SNOWBALL method. To either pay off fully or to pay off the overdraft or late fees. Like to get everything back under the line so at least it’ll show on my credit score that everything is in good standing even though it’s not all paid off. Hope I m explaining it correctly, You know what I mean like have no more missed payments.

Being able to be on a payment plan for my natural gas bill was the only way I made it through the high bills during the winter. I am paying $100/month from now until November to have a credit to go towards next winter and I will do a savings challenge for it once I have some extra funds so I can make a lump sum payment on it.

My current position is that i have managed to pay all my bills on time but i really dont have enough money to have fun. My money is going to bills. The overtime has dried up so i cant make more money now. I have been putting my stuff on sale online that i have decluttered but no sales so far. I am starting to get really frustrated with my lack of progress. It feels like i am stuck in the middle. No progress forward but not going backwards either.
@BudgetTreasures
@BudgetTreasures Жыл бұрын
Not going backwards is a celebration for sure! I want to ensure you to research other things that you possibly can do to make extra money. I know that there are tons of videos here on KZbin and even searching on Google. I am not sure what you are willing to do but there are many things that can make you money if you have the time. If you have a skill that you can share, people will pay for what you know...

Is it possible to reduce some of your bills? Switching cell phone/ internet carriers, refinancing high interest debt? It’s important to have room to make progress on your financial goals and in case there are bumps in the road.

Maybe you can take advantage of different types of fun things instead of what you would normally do? I did a lot of nature walks, farmers market visits, family night with schools have lower priced events. Groupon also has decent enough ideas. I also hear some people volunteer for local events for a day or two in order to get free admission, if that's something that happens where you are. Also, fun might have to be planned a little further apart to give you time to save a little at a time. Celebrate not going backwards, that's a big big deal!! Keep moving at a steady pace progress will come and the sales will too. 😊
