The ageism in the comments...Tati is 42, Jeffree is 38 and Shane is 36. So, ALL of them were old enough to behave better if you want to use age as a way of dismissing someone's behaviour. However, JS is manipulative and conniving enough to know how to press someone's buttons and push them into a direction they may otherwise have gone.

This!! Honestly I feel really sorry for Tati. Being neurodivergent and having people use my naivety and sense of justice to manipulate me and being near a lot of people that didn’t have my best interest in mind, I kinda relate to her actions. I am a full blown adult and I can clearly see why she acted that way. She didn’t navigate through the situation as best as she could, but being surrounded by rich people with mean girl mentality can distort your point of view.

I feel like the more Jeffree holds this supposed voice note, and brings it up over and over, and teases it and teases it, it just continues to victimize the person on the note. That person isn't ready or doesn't want to come out with their story, and knowing this man is spreading around that he has it and can release it, has to make that person so anxious and sick. It's so gross to me.
@asmileisspecial4 ай бұрын
Yeah, it’s disgusting behaviour that shows he doesn’t care about anything other than getting something over on James (and I don’t like JC.) If he cared, he wouldn’t be teasing it and sharing the audio with anyone and everyone in private. He’s revictimising the alleged victim and going by how Jeffrey acts, I wouldn’t put it past him to have doctored it or spliced different conversations together. I don’t think that’s the case but it’s awful to casually spread it around and shows how manipulative and awful he is.

100% It's absolutely disgusting how Jeffree just keeps playing it for people. It's a nightmare for the actual victim to have to live their life questioning who all has heard the voice note and whether anyone will go public and reveal everything. They can never truly feel safe or heal because every day could be the day that the public finds out. It's such a horrible thing to have to go through, forever regretting telling Jeffree about what happened, maybe even blaming themselves for thinking they could trust him.

And I am wondering is that voice memo really such a strong evidence, or is it just something either made up (the content like i.e. the situation did not happen in reality and it could be proven), or there is really nothing so "strong" in it. Most of tthe people who have clamied to hear it either have connotation to J* or have had them during the drama (like Tati), Blair is the exception. So I wouldn't be surprised if the memo is fake and he does not want to release it, because if it goes public it would be easy to tell it is a set up.

He never said "it doesn't matter, I'm a celebrity." He said that him and his group, including Tati, partook in the joke of calling things "famous" as a compliment. Like if a dessert was really good, they'd say "this dessert is so famous", or if one of them did something great or looked really good that day, they'd say "you're so famous." I heavily dislike James and his predatory behaviors, but he specifically said that he referred to himself as famous that day as a way of saying that he looked great and had a cute outfit on. The guy that Tati made her video about openly admitted to flirting with James on that day, slipping him his number, and constantly telling him that he's bisexual and wanting to explore with him. I completely disagree with everyone who's taking Tati's side in this situation, James was not a predator in this very specific context regardless of what he went on to do later.

I think that’s been proven by JS doing the exact same thing he accused JC of- preying on straight men & making them uncomfortable. The way he talks to men on TikTok live is disgusting & predatory. Tati confirmed she exposed him at the time because she was hurt & felt manipulated by JS & Shane. James is a predator and it was the right message, just the wrong messengers.

Tbh, I was never a fan, but his move to WY blew me away lol. The marketing of it vs the reality is insane! It’s very interesting to me that he hasn’t been exposed yet, but I guess you have to actually be there to really understand. Casper is nothing like what he’s portraying. I’m convinced he found out fast that he’s not “land near Jackson Hole” rich but realized that so few people are familiar with Casper that he could pull it off. Casper is like Billings, Bismarck, Rapid City…it’s a blue collar cow & oil town on an interstate route. People move there to go to vo-tech or to get a good deal on a taco John’s franchise, but not to live the gorgeous western lifestyle. It CAN be beautiful but you have to shoot it very carefully, most of the time it’s just aggressive weather on an unforgiving scrub desert. To the very few of us who’ve also been to Casper, this is like moving to Bakersfield but convincing people it’s just like Julian. It’s a minor thing from a grumpy rural west perspective, but it’s a pretty big lie from a marketing angle - I’m honestly a bit shocked he was willing to move to Casper, and if you knew the economy, you’d have a very different impression of his wealth. And the more successful you appear, the more you sell. The way he reacted when fans showed up to his ranch told me everything. People like RuPaul live in Jackson (RuPaul’s husband is a rancher & frakker, but the super rich kind, like way richer than RuPaul), security is already integrated into that area. Whereas Jeffree has regular not-crazy-rich neighbors who got extremely mad at him for drawing urban weirdos. He would have been mad at that in Jackson, but not terrified that he himself would get iced out, and I’m sure he’s still reliant on neighbors for help, even with a professional yaak ranch manager. Exotic ranching has never taken off long term, other than the native elk, venison & bison, which are very familiar to us, you never see these trends like emu meat last long. It’s a very risky investment he’s made & the cost of a ranch vs beauty brand is staggering.

Hi, Jen! I haven't finished watching just yet but you mentioned that the trailer for the series with Shane and Jeffree and what the series showed was pretty much as "advertised", but if I remember correctly, the trailer actually showed Shane, his fiancé, Jeffree and someone else all watching together the "Bye, Sister" video in someone's living room and then the series showed that they were in different places when the video dropped. I remember drama channels pointing this out and thinking that maybe Shane had to reshoot or change it because the trailer made it look like they knew the video was dropping, a narrative they were trying to avoid at the time but that was catching on. The thing that I can't get over is here is Jeffree saying that it's not his place to out this KZbinr who says James did terrible things to them, so he won't post receipts, but then he looks for any and every opportunity to play the clip to other KZbinrs privately. Like first of all, how is posting it publicly not okay but actively volunteering to play it for whoever wants to hear it is fine? And secondly, it's the worst kind of information to spread because it's not actionable. No one can go to the authorities, no one can ethically expose the truth online, no one who has heard the clip has themselves been in danger of being a victim of James. So it just makes people believe James is deeply terrible AND make them feel guilty and awful that there's nothing they can do. It's spreading a victim's story around exclusively to stir the pot, no other higher purpose.
@kellahanna-wayne41914 ай бұрын
Also, to be clear, I'm not saying that this info shouldn't be shared about James or that it's unethical to say these bad things about him. I'm saying Jeffree is actually doing nothing to hold James accountable, is playing fast and loose with a victim's story, and is making himself look like he's such a good person for opposing James. His motives for sharing are all bad and he has no problem with the potential collateral damage to others, including the victim.

I’m such a Tati fan so I know I’m biased but now after the situation has cooled off and we know the timeline and back stories, I still think Tati was severely manipulated. Even in the breaking silence video. I wish she hadn’t surrounded herself with these characters but they really did a number on her. Shane, Jeffery and James are all very negligent and manipulative. They found the perfect person to toy with. Tati is very accepting and embraces others no matter what. Which can turn into being gullible. But now years later it’s wild to think about how this played out. After Shane and Jeffrey’s series I stopped watching KZbin for awhile so I have nooooooo clue what James did and the pictures he sent. I FINISHED THIS VIDEO 🙌 (my thoughts): If Tati was younger, like J.C., people would gave given her a lot more grace. People keep bringing up her age but gullibility isn't age-specific. I don't think she's had very many life experiences, dealing with people as disingenuous as J.S. & S.D., and, sadly, she fell victim to their lies and manipulation. She got swept away with the feeling of being loved & appreciated in a friendship; something she felt was no longer present in her friendship with J.C.. Sadly, we, now, know that that her friendship with, both, J.S. & S.D. was highly calculated & one-sided. She was remorseful, apologetic and embarrassed, by the whole situation. She, probably, suffered the most dire personal consequences, as a result of this "drama" and she dealt with it all, quietly, behind closed doors. I feel horrible for what Tati had to endure but, as full-grown adults, people expect you to have better discernment, by this age; they will hold you accountable, regardless of good intention. ONTO, PART 5 🙌 This series is so well-done. I'm absolutely hooked. Thank you so much, Jen ❤

I am thoroughly convinced that J* and Shane were jealous of JC and wanted to use what they "knew" about JC (with the voice note) to manipulate Tati into filming Bye Sister. Here's why; Tati had already been catching the red flags. She was seeing them with her own eyes. But after attempting to talk it out with JC and he didn't listen, by J* having her listen to the voice note, all she could think of was "let me do something before it gets really bad!" But that was what J* wanted all along. So when she posted Breaking My Silence, she'd finally had enough time to piece everything together in realizing that she HAD been manipulated, even if what she'd seen with her own eyes was true, and what Shane and J* had truth to it. I don't think that Tati's apology to JC was a sign of weakness; it's a sign of emotional intelligence, growth, and to not feel the heaviness in her own heart. She (very quickly) found out that making a video wasn't the best way to go about changing JC's behavior. Even if Shane and J* didn't talk her into making a video, they planted the seeds in the garden of drama. So her apology wasn't for the context of Bye Sister, but more about apologizing for allowing herself to be manipulated into broadcasting emotions without hard-hitting facts or receipts. I think people saying that she should have relied more on facts than emotions due to her age and shouldn't have acted out of emotion is (in my opinion) very ignorant. I think most of us have been in situations where we've had one friend say something mean about another friend behind their back, but because the friend speaking had appealed to your emotions as a means of breaking your defenses (aka being manipulated) is something that not a lot of us would be able to identify as manipulation if we hadn't been scorned by that friend before. Granted yes, these types of experiences and knowledge come with age, but someone who is 90 years old but never been scorned, would never imagine someone would do it to them in their future, nor would they know how to identify it, because it had never happened to them before. I still have a lot of respect for Tati. I never stopped watching her videos, and I SCREAMED when she returned to KZbin. I think her career will continue to flourish. (I mean come on, people STILL talk about the Tati Beauty palette being the best palette EVER!)

Which that person has that right, and I just feel for them in the sense that I can’t imagine being talked about and mentioned so much , knowing that it’s you, but also not wanting your name attached to it, for whatever reason, yet it keeps being brought up, just without the name. I do believe Jeffree has something on James, even if its just alone the voice note. I think he backed off because he realised that it wasn’t his place. She had seen bad behaviour that she didn’t approve of and James wouldn’t listen to her otherwise. She doesn’t need to hide behind ‘Shane and Jeffree made me do it’, she was right to make the video. All of Shane’s old content was up by the time the scandal happened. His reputation was already very dodgy by the time Tati met him, the fact he was insanely popular drowned the critics voices, but the mini scandals where everywhere if she cared to look. Her audience warned Tati not to get involved with those awful people, in fact at the time I stopped watching her because i loathed those individuals. It’s just not true when she came out and said that Shane was a respected director, he became a KZbin “Director” because after the scandal of “The Chair” he totally ruined his chance of a career outside of it.
