Touhy would have destroyed her
@docpj725 жыл бұрын
@@alexandrab7215 doubt it--Footlocker is a tough x-c course and running 17 flat is a very good time-Touhy may have beaten her but not by much...Masciarelli has more upside in my opinion, since she won FL in only her 1st cross season-Touhy has been racing for 7 years now and she may have peaked too early.
@jimoconnor85975 жыл бұрын
@@docpj72 Pretty big statement. Touhy has a long resume and is definitely still progressing. She would win 10 of 10 races against Masciarelli or whoever she races at this point (HS). I believe her experience at racing would is a huge advantage.

at this age a lot of athletes and even Speech and Debate champions are victors based on natural ability or going to a school with a huge budget and elite position. Once in college your body matures, some come back into the game after being in the military, and others simply want it more and get going. Our college football team was a feeder j.c. for USC: the athletes were usually Vietnam Vets. playing against kids. In HS debate I followed around lots of elite schools teams but by college was clobbering my heros and mopping the floors with them. You've made up your mind and want it real bad. Our best mile runner in HS was sixth man on his college cx squad!!!

Between Sydney, Kaitlyn and Taylor Ewert USA is in good shape for the Olympics in 2024. Only problem, it's still only good enough for 7th or 8th behind all the Kenyans
@bethanymclean21364 жыл бұрын
More likely 2028, except for Ewert in the race walk. Female runners usually peak older, and those 3 will all be barely out of college in 2024.

yea I think they need high attitude, thin air training, so enhancing their oxygen intake, and assumption for longer races, like the kenyans have.

Wow what a Gifted and Talented young lady. She has the mental focus, physical attributes, and relaxation capacity to remain calm during pre race. Her Brother is instrumental in her training regime and propels her to a higher competitive tier. They essentially are joined @ the hips. Her X-C and Track coach from Connecticut had it 110% correct when she realized she had something "Special" when this athlete broke the course record by 2-minutes! You cannot teach this or buy it==Either you have it or you do not. She has it and is a "Natural". ***(Former Professional & World Class Athlete, NCAA Coach, and U.S. Armed Forces National Champion and Team runner-up for the National Title)*** P.S. By the way I am an Italian American as well, and proud to state this.

I don’t think you understand how running works, tying with someone is statistically impossible and as a runner you can tell when you’re going to lose, no matter how fast you try to close in the last couple steps you can tell whether or not you can make up a gap
