The bad thing about watching stuff like this on the interwebs is that you get used to it at some point. And you can easily forget how insane that actually is. You need to see such setups in real life every once in a while to realize what madness this actually is. And then imagine hitting that thing switch.... Mental breakdown

this is real skiing, no one really knows how it feels to ride that. The hype and memories are unreal. They put their time and vibe somehow right through the screen back at you. They throw trick after trick without thoughts, that's the winning moment. we are watching the real skiers, we are watching the best skiers living at the peak of skiing. The joy it brings why we ski and how it brings the community and people togther. imagine for your whole life grinding for that one moment if complete peace. Imagine putting all the bruises and hits, and slams but in the end, it's effortless fun. This is the life, The great community of skiing.

Thing about booters like this one is the precision required in the speed. It has got a nice long landing, but even so. I've hit an 80 foot (25m) booter which is still way less than this, but even on that one it was really difficult to know your speed was dead on. It can be way easy to end up taking a knuckling because the snow runs a bit slower one hour to the next in a day. But going long on something like that 80 footer (25m) or this 120 footer (37m) is even worse news for you.... see T Hall and Dumont examples..... Although that said, Candide's Bertha knuckle is eye watering just watching it, but that was made worse because it was an enormous step-down as well.... Imagine this jump, with another 10m flat and no step up to the knuckle.....

Ever wondered why the guys who defuse those ww2 bombs that could blow up the whole block don't wear those fancy juggernaut suits that they do when defusing IEDs? Because it would not change a thing if they mess up and the whole block is in pieces. Same with jumps that size, either you make the landing and get a rather soft touchdown, or you land somewhere else which will get you bagged, regardless of your hat choice
