I can’t even imagine the difficulty of making sure everything happens exactly as required let alone now making it all happen out of sync, props to the techs for being on top of it

I saw the show twice and was amazed by how everything went EXACTLY wrong at the same time, at the same que. Actors are amazing, but these guys are the real, unsung heroes of the show that goes wrong.

I had no idea Trevor had actually been doing that for the whole play.

its actually a part of the production, at the begining various techies go around, looking bored, trying to fix stuff etc

As a techie myself, I can confirm this is a usual theatre occurrence

I didn't realise there was an american version. I adore the british group, and all the plays that go wrong they have done.
@SilverShade10083 жыл бұрын
The US productions are identical but the actors who play Annie and Trevor keep their American accents.
@pigs182 жыл бұрын
You can thank JJ Abrams for that. He saw the show in London and brought it to America. It is currently running at the New World Theater in NYC and as a touring production.

The original Mischief crew did premiere the play on Broadway before American actors took over the parts. :) Much like how they are premiering Peter Pan Goes Wrong on Broadway *right now* ! :D

I wonder why they don’t give Trevor a real headset so he can hear the real stage manger.
@natalietsang88 Жыл бұрын
It would be more distracting for the actor to hear every cue and also remember to do their job, is my guess. The real stage manager is calling a lot of cues and there's always chatter on headset.
@downstageright32983 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the actor playing Trevor actually does stuff on his phone or if he just scrolls aimlessly so he doesn't miss his cues.
@Brooke_Broadway2 жыл бұрын
One of my friends plays Trevor currently and he does do something’s on his phone
@wyliecoyote78222 жыл бұрын
It's on purpose. Our Trevor comes out at the beginning to do his speech while aimlessly texting

It looks like a load of random nick-nacks they found from an electrical supplier that they've shoved on a mount to "look" like a lighting desk. Modern lighting desks normally have a couple of monitors and a load of faders and buttons. Would expect they'll use an ETC desk for this with it being a theatre show in reality. What the actors playing with is just a prop that does nothing. There will be a real lampy somewhere in the box actually controlling the lighting.
