Paul, This is one of my favorite songs. It is peaceful, comforting and brings about thoughts of hope. My first introduction to this song came to me as a child in the mid 90's in Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World. My parents would take my sister and I there for our family vacations, and this song always brings me back to those happy times that were filled with wonder when I was younger. Thank you for your part in bringing this song into my life.

I stumbled upon this song on Apple Music, and it instantly transported me back to the late 80s in Mexico. I'm convinced it was part of a nostalgic ad campaign. That's why I came here, trying to find out where. The flood of emotions and memories it brought was overwhelming. As I read through the comments, I was moved to find that many others shared a similar sentiment of reconnecting with their childhood. This tune seems to have had a profound impact on all of us, providing a comforting soundtrack to our younger years

From the first time I ever heard Desert Rain until today I still just love this. I was down deep inside Carlsbad Caverns not so long ago and as I came upon some of the most beautiful stalactites and stalagmites I could hear this music. It is cosmological. Paul, 'Natural States' is a precious album to me. It is part of my life's soundtrack. I listen to it every time I drive to the Oregon Coast. Just east of Salem, OR is the Van Duzer corridor - a tree lined two lane highway that winds througn the coastal range and opens up in Lincoln City. I hit 'play' as soon as I see the entrance of the Van Duzer and the album becomes the soundtrack through the lovely scenery of the Willamette Valley, the coastal hills - and finishes exactly as I pull into the first ocean lookout. I have listened to that album (first tape, then CD) on the way to the coast for 30 years. Literally hundreds of times. Just did so again last week. There have even been times when I wasn't driving but would bring my copy and take over the stereo. Thank you Paul. You and David made music that has seeped deep within my soul.

Thank you for your gift of wonderful music for the world....(we had a chat here not long ago.. you mentioned about driving across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway going home from New Orleans.. it has undergone a recent two year renovation project and now has added safety features - six new lighted pullover lanes on each side, providing off road safety/emergency relief every two miles on both sides, as well as a better, safer siderail on the southbound span, the original 2-way span that opened in 1956.. the northbound span you drove was started in 1968 and was completed June 1969. I grew up in New Orleans and lived in Metairie 25 years.. I now live in Covington (where I was born), about 6 miles north of I-12.

When I was just a teenager, I happened to first hear "Behing the Waterfall" on my local jazz station a few decades ago. The only way I could hear it was from an old cassette tape I had. Luckily I happened to listen to one of the internet radio stations and selected one of the early smooth jazz genres. I nearly freaked when I heard it because I never knew the name of the song or the artists when they played it long ago. I hurried and logged onto amazon and bought it. I was so happy that day saying to myself "Finally got my song!" I guess I had a Susan Lucci moment, lol. Anyways, thanks for making such a beautiful song. It forever stuck in my head, which I'm glad because now I can listen to it all I want and drift off to another world.

My story is similar. I had it recorded to a cassette tape when I was a teen. I remembered hearing the radio announcer say the name of the song was "Behind the Waterfall". After I listened to that tape recording for a year or so, I set to head out to the record store... yes we had those back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, and looked up the song. I found it on the Narada "Natural States" album and bought it immediately. Love it to this day! The picture of Paul and David on the back, they look almost like kids themselves!

Your name just crossed my mind a bit ago, what the hell throw it into a search engine and see what pops up. Just as I would have hoped or suspected 46 or so years ago in the high school days, congrats, love the music. Steve, brother of the mail man.

Paul, thank you so much. A little fill here, I'm Robert Krausert and used to perform a laser light show called Crystal Visions and as well as many others. I remember you, David and I think your brother performing live in the Pacific Science Center to a show. Behind the waterfall became our (my lovely wife's and I) signature song. Withour ever being a laserist, I'd never had experienced and loved this great music. Thank you so much. Would love to have you perform at our second vow...

너무 좋다. 진정 라이브실황 입니까? 이 노래 들을때마다 수자원공사 캠페인 광고 생각난다. 그때 비지엠으로 쓰였던 곡.

@Manventure1 We only did this one major North American tour and Mexico City was one of the last stops. Nice that it was recorded.

The Bridge of Dreams Tour was supposed to include San Fransisco, but when I showed up at the Palace of Fine Arts, I was informed the show was cancelled. I did manage to see David perform by himself a couple years later, but I really wanted to see and hear Paul. Thanks for the upload!
