I had first heard this song at Walt Disney World at Epcot and almost immediately fell in love with it. Then a few weeks later, we were at Sea World San Antonio and heard it being played around the Coral Reef exhibit. My 4 year old daughter recognized it and said "Daddy that's the Epcot" song. From that point I started to search for it. One day it played on Disney internet radio and captured the name through Shazam. Thank you for such a beautiful song. My daughter and I always listen to it.

This is one of the most wonderful and beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. I remember hearing it for the first time while in high school in Philadelphia in 1985 and was absolutely mesmerized. I maybe heard it about 5 times since then. For many years I looked for this song and couldn't find it. I didn't know who performed it or what the name was. It killed me because I wanted to hear it again. Then about three or four years ago, I found it. I have it on my iPhone and will never lose it.

This is a truly wonderful and life changing song; one that has helped shaped my entire way of listening to music. It was one of the first identifiable songs coming out of the radio that I heard as a child back in the 80's when I learned to appreciate music even before I knew what music instruments were. You could say my listening habits were rather different from my peers. If I had to list 3 songs that I could take with me on a desert island, it would be this, Kenny G's Songbird and Joe Jackson's Stepping Out. Thank you so much, I am indebted to you and Mr. Lanz for this.

Paul, There's a guy who has a an all-instrumental jazz show and podcast, from London, Rod Lucas..."Best Smooth Jazz." He's kind of quirky and may not think yours is jazz enough for his show, but it might be a way to promote your music a bit. He plays a very eclectic mix. What with no jazz radio stations his is one of the few ways to get introduced to artists one is unaware of. BTW, do you tour still? Get to Atlanta?

Same for me. I believe I first heard it on a local radio show called 'Lovers and Other Strangers' where they played it on regular rotation. This and songs like Kenny G's Songbird were very much the staple romantic tunes in the late 80's, early 90's.

You're welcome, Afroditee. To my knowledge, the piece has not been licensed for a movie. However, Disney Epcot Center uses it and many who have posted here, heard it there. Thanks for your comments.

This brings back memories of my first job at Walt Disney World at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground (now defunct). This music, along with a few other similar pieces, were part of the loop there. This was back in 2006. Simpler times.

Matthew - Thanks for taking the time to post. I have never been to Disney World but there are lots of comments here from people who heard it there for the first time. I think that is really cool.

This sure brings back memories for me. Back in 1987-88, this song was played regularly on 94.7 THE WAVE in Southern California. Around the same time, I saw David Lanz in concert twice and he performed this piece solo on the piano in a medley with "Desert Rain". It was great. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. This is still great music 20-plus years later.

Wow, this accentuates the amazement (to me) in the mythical silicon valley. Stayed with me all the years I spent there :-)

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful songs I know and like the masterpiece it is it is so evocative. To date this might be the best video and song pairing to be found to best present it and believe me-- I've looked. I guess my only wish would be to recreate this in high-def. The song deserves a crystal clear video that matches the brightness of the sound. Honestly I'd love to see a portion of the video actually use a camera that captures the view from inside and especially behind a waterfall as it tumbles down from up high and then down at the base where the water would be like a raging swirling cauldron. Until then, this beautiful video will do nicely. Kudos to you and your partner, Mr. Speer. Thank you for sharing your visions and your passions with us.

I agree about the quality and it is unlikely this will ever be re-shot. This was 16mm film in 1985 and we did the best we could with the tools available.
