According to wine searcher it’s in 20,000 plus stores in the US but given the size of the country that could still mean it’s fairly niche- it’s in Dan Murphy’s here which is our big nationwide liquor store but the US doesn’t seem to have an equivalent? Where are you situated?

Loved the backstory. Thank you! Random fact. De Kuyper and Ketel One, are both Dutch. Both from Schiedam. A small city next to Rotterdam. And I think they're (now) owned by the same (holding) company. And apples are the most produced fruit of the Netherlands. 🍏

Thanks! I love Calvados and Applejack, and they can definitely work in lighter, more aperitif style drinks as well. Try a Pan American Clipper- basically a Jack Rose with a dash of absinthe (Apple brandy, lime, grenadine) 😊

In my teens the drink was either big apple bacardi with schweppes or plain catuaba (preferably on the rocks, but skip it if you don't have glasses hanging around anyways). What would you call a drink that's: 60ml vodka 30ml green apple syrup 30ml water few drops absinthe I skipped the vermouth cuz there was none in my bar, but it tasted good anyways.

Depends on the gin but definitely something on the light and fruity end - if you’re in Australia, Seven Seasons has a bush apple gin which would be delicious, or Poor Tom’s would work well too.

Haha your bartenders must be less absent minded than me- even on our last shoot day I did it and realised I’d just straight up forgotten the citrus! I don’t tend to have to adjust too much on drinks I make heaps of but certainly ones I’ve never made before. Appletini, man I remember the girlie cred around these drinks, out of the league of alcopops but chemically the same thing ha ha ha. For mouthfeel that lasts longer than temperature can sustain add glycerine! Big difference in hot countires. I'm fed up of martini viscosity going 'off' so I stopped drinking it. Nobody drinks it in the middle east. Maybe I should go shaken instead. Not sure of the difference. Ill keep telling the guys about glycerine, its the best of a bad situation. Maltodextrin is ok for other drinks, but too sweet for martinis.
